I mean I've seen a ton of "He has no skill" posts in this thread. Just pointing out, for his size he's very skilled. What he does with that skill and talent, I mean that's on him. He wouldn't be the first guy that just didn't utilize his skillset correctly.
Oh ok and random reports are always accurate. Bc the reports know exactly what kd is happy and unhappy about. Bc they’re actually him
Even with Harden absent in game 2, his impact can't be denied that he gave both Kyrie and KD a lot of time to rehab from their own injuries during the regular season when he was carrying the Nets roster by himself during stretches. No Harden and who knows how many more games KD and Kyrie would have have to step up to play when they would have been better off resting. Part of being a team is trusting that the rest of your roster can step up when you're absent. KD and Kyrie are just doing what Harden did for them in stretches of this season.
I though his play so far was definetly showing that. I never believed he went there to be seen as a second banana
Cmon man, go listen to Draymond on all the smoke and tell it wasn’t like that. You can believe what you want.
People that know basketball know Harden's game. There will be other series that Harden can deliver just like he did in the last round. This isnt the last season Nets will be around with this core lol
Maybe...I still think Blake is very very bad defensively and some team is going to exploit this. Bucks are also playing incredibly stupid...but if you can force the other team to play stupid and take bad shots I guess it's still credit to the defense.
seriously…dudes act like playing well and being the 2nd banana on a title team is supposed to be worse than being the man and losing in the 1st or 2nd round obviously the best scenario for his legacy would be Harden carrying his team to a title, but him playing very well and winning a chip even if it’s not some solo man carry job is still a boon for his career and legacy…especially when the alternative is just being ringless while continuing to put up numbers
Go listen to kd on all the smoke. Or million dollars worth of game. Yeah I’ll believe It straight from him
Nets defensive numbers were terrible in the regular season. Bucks offensive numbers were GREAT in the regular season. Bucks defensive numbers were GREAT in the regular season. This playoff has proven once again, regular season stats are more and more irrelevant when it comes to predicting the playoffs. The playoffs is really a different season. More so than ever statistics compiled in one has little relation to the other.
Calling the recency bias now. Watch the bucks win 1 or 2 of the next games back home and it’s right back to, they need Harden. Can’t wait to repost this
Harden can sit out the rest of the East games if it means he can make it to the showdown with CP3 in the finals.
any talk of his lack of skill is in the context of being a perimeter player initiating offense, and for that, his lack of skill is apparent…we all know the likes of Capela isn’t pulling off a spin move, dribbling full court, or averaging 5 assists like he does
I mean, the only reason Harden would be embarrassed that the Nets are winning big without him, would be if he said some stuff like "this team can't win without me" or "I'm the best player on this team" or something similar. But we all know Harden ain't like that.
The funny thing is if he was in a local ymca or rec center just playing with a bunch of Joe’s, he could probably do it. But this ain’t it. It’s the NBA. You better stick with what you’re supposed to do and do it well
Well, I was wrong. I don't see anyone stopping the Nets. It's annoying because it basically means there is no reason to watch the rest of the playoffs with the drama all gone.
