Even without harden the only better duo than Durant and Kyrie is a healthy LeBron and ad. I don't think they need harden to win a ring. Harden to the nets is more like KD to the warriors.

Wait... Running and dunking is bad now? Quick call up bob cousey, havlicek and those officials in the NCAA who banned dunking because some dude name Lou Alcindor. It's their time to shine again!

If people are criticizing Giannis's MVPs because of his style of play or the way he takes advantage of how the game is officiated, how is that any different from people who criticized Harden for the same thing? Shouldn't the focus, as far as deserving an MVP, be strictly on how effective you are at producing wins?

Giannis was pretty good this game. The rest of the team sucked. I don't even think people on here even watch the games.

Since this thread is all over the place. I'm sharing this.
Fun fact. Eric Gordon was ranked higher than Harden out of high school

That mentality is what gets the Rockets in trouble the most. Remember the non shooters on the Lakers that weren't suppose to be consistent shooters, mainly Morris? After game 1 they continued to be able shoot. Durant and Harris are not going miss much because they are natural shooters.

The difference is I would happy about that for the Rockets. For the Nets I dont really give a damn about them besides Harden.

You can't go treating your star players like they are going to break down at any moment, you manage their regular seasno minutes so they can go hard in the playoffs. That's why they get days off and stuff after all.

Winning every game matters, what if they played Lopez/Giannis 40+ minutes and they win this game and get another sweep and another week of rest too? We can't concede games in the playoffs hoping to win in the end.

I think you just follow the flow of the game, they were their two best players that game, scoring at will, they needed to be in to at least stop the bleeding and keep it close.

EDIT: Also I will add, this is the most wide open championship (Now that Harden is hurt). Who knows what BS might happen to create another super team. Harden is hurt. AD is hurt. This is the Bucks chance to win a ring, right here. With their cap situation this might very well be their only chance in a few years.

so you didn’t read the second article, harden is a pioneer for the younger generation. Almost every player like Tatum, Beal have added hardens revolutionary gather techniques in the lane to get free throws. Lol I even see your boy curry doing double side step 3’s

That was really interesting I didn't know Gordon was such a highly ranked prospect.

Harden's current teammates aren't just streaky shooter out of nowhere but well known snipers. Morris not only got hot for one game but torched the Rockets in a gentleman's sweep but yeah the officials did help.

Revolutionary gather techniques? That's kind of a stretch.

actually it’s not, prior to harden no nba player was going in the lane holding the ball waiting for a defender to whack their arms and then finish with the shot for an and1

There is 1 guy on the Houston Rockets currently who has been pretty public about how he admired and modeled his game after Harden.

Harden’s influence on the league is pretty apparent.

I believe it was on Zach Lowe’s podcast but it was for sure David Thorpe as the guest taking about the AAU circuit and that he said it was clear without any doubt that the guy most kids were trying to emulate was James Harden. And to him it was ruining youth basketball because most kids just weren’t skilled or physically strong enough yet to be attempting the step back, but it’s all any kids wanted to do.

But I’m not arguing that Steph hasn’t had a pretty big influence on the game as well.
