they announced a direct placement today at 85cents. for the company that's a good thing - priced at the market to fund their ops, and shows institutional interest. bad for short term sentiment tho, i see social media comments b****ing about another round of dilution. not investment advice, just pointing out the considerations. i'm neutral at this point, just a small position that i will redeploy if i see a better opportunity.
I bought some Carnival stock based on that. Because more kids = more vacation. and more vacation = cruises because asians do be loving cruises.
Crazy thing about most of these cruise stocks is that if you had bought when they all got shut down for COVID issues and just waited, you'd have a beautiful return. Lesson learned. Just do the opposite of whatever seems sane at the time. I think Buffett said something like that. lol.
my first play right after the pandemic started was dave and busters...changed my mind and sold..lol 03/20/2020 Bought 2500 PLAY @ 8.75 03/20/2020 Sold 2500 PLAY @ 9 04/16/2020 Bought 500 PLAY @ 13 04/29/2020 Sold 500 PLAY @ 16.25 it's at 42 right now. fml. should have just kept my 2500 shares. would be looking at 82K so far?
APPS is in a weird position where they are supposed to announce in earnings in 30mins, but the revenue already figures already came out in a presentation 2 weeks ago. sold a naked put as premiums are still high. hope i don't get burned... Edit: results out early. Shares up a bit now. Not sure why all the jitters when revenue was already known.
another re-opening play sold a10-pt bullish PUT spread, 145/135, collecting $4.6 premium in advance, defining my max risk ~ $5.4 breakeven, at expiration, ~~ 140.4
I have a much much smaller position of 100 shares I have held for over a year. Bought at less than $9. Another one that I should have got more of was SPG. After today im up freaking 125% Practically the only things I have sold is PEP and T. Otherwise I have bought and held growth like NIO through up and downs and buying on dips when I can. Altogether up 190% I think. And the best year I have ever had by a good margin probably.

True story... last year during the beginning of the pandemic I downloaded Robinhood just like millions of others. They gave me a free stock for joining. It was like $3 and change at the time. You already know what it was. I kept it until it reached like $35 and I saw a couple articles on my newsfeed pop up saying that it was going to dump so I sold it. Over the course of the next few days I kept getting sicker by the day. Never again! Hodling my 1.5 AMC for dear life. I don’t even remember buying this one. Who indafuq buys 1.5 shares of something that only costs $7? Must’ve been leftover balance that I wanted to use up. Does anybody own any Hertz? Lol another bs stock I picked up from the popular 100 when I had no idea what I was doing that I just left.
shows the value of patience and conviction, to hold thru bad sentiment. at least that's what i try to tell myself when i look at my flgt bags haha.
