346? Google says that area code was added in 2014. Not sure where I have been. I've been called from that area code before, but have no contacts with that area code. Must be a number used to identify carpetbaggers.

Someone was trolling the Astros with that hat design. There is an asterisk...can you spot it?

I missed that and did not know it was a thing.

I don't think I have ever seen it on my phone.

Is this IL for Lance just load management?

This is my guess as Framber is coming off IL on LMJ's scheduled start with Odorizzi the next day as if they planned to give someone some R&R.

They also moved Javier to the pen. So after next week the rotation should be Greinke, McCullers, Urquidy, Valdez, and Odorizzi. Since Taylor will also be back, the bullpen at that point should be Pressly, Javier, Raley, Stanek, Smith, Taylor, Bielak, and Garcia, with Emanuel, Scrubb, Abreu, and Paredes optioned. My guess is they'll keep Garcia and Bielak throwing multiple innings and use them along with Ivey, Solomon, and maybe Emanuel to spot start to manage workloads. I'm thinking they maybe see Javier as the answer the bullpen's woes.

Javier has already matched last years workload

I would be very surprised if he went to a regular pen workload. I think we will see him in some long relief situations as they arise, but for the most part I don’t think we see him throw a lot the next 2-3 weeks

I don't believe it is just load management. Lance looked uncomfortable in the dugout moving his arm around during his start in Arlington.

Also, Framber isn't ready and he even said so in an interview after his start. He thought he needed 1 or 2 more starts befor being called up.

They are rushing him back. Starting him Friday makes sense because they have Thursday off so the bullpen will be fresher to back him up. He threw 54 pitches his last rehab start. He will probably be limited to 70ish pitches.

Lance looking uncomfortable was one of the reasons I thought load management as he played through it. Sounds like a little more than load management, but still likely only 1-2 starts.

    Yea, I agree with that.

I don't think they wanted to bring Framber up this soon after only throwing 54 pitches his last rehab start. He lost command in his last inning and walked 2 guys in a row on 4 pitches. I know everyone is excited to see him back... I honestly expect him to struggle big time against the Padres on Friday.

Also wondering why we haven't heard an update on Emanuel yet.

My guess is Emanuel has inflammation, and they need it to go down before they can see if there is something horribly wrong.

On Framber versus the Padres, the Astros have an extremely talented and rested bullpen behind him (Javier probably can go 4-6 innings with Pressly probably needing an inning if his neck is better).

“The bullpen is the issue with this team. Who can they get? It’s a little early for this kind of thing but I’ve identified 8 teams or so out of contention or understand they’re going to be out of contention. From that group, some relievers I can throw out there:

Michael Fulmer, Tigers — wrote about him last week, kind of reborn as a reliever
    Gregory Soto, Tigers
    Paul Fry, Orioles
Raisel Iglesias, Angels — Iglesias has struggled but has the pedigree
    Steve Cishek, Angels
Ian Kennedy, Rangers — done a terrific job as their closer
Brad Hand, Nationals — that’s a little bit of a reach. I don’t know that the Nationals are gonna break up their team.
    Yimi García, Marlins
    Richard Rodriguez, Pirates

Those are some of the names I expect we’ll hear.”
