Hopefully not. If his stock rises, he should be a second round pick around 35-40.

I like Johnny Juzang from UCLA. His game reminds me of Devin Booker

Maybe , really depends on how the draft falls .... I think the bigger questions with Jones are how he will defend and rebound against NBA bigs. Offensively I think you get a raw Clint Capela with a jumper.

Honestly I might go in another direction - take the best Guard at 18 then Trey Murphy @23 and one of Neemias Queta , Filip Petrusev or Day'Ron Sharpe with the last pick.

Or package 18 and 24 to get to ~9-10 and come away with Davion Mitchell & Trey Murphy.

Most mocks have him in the 2nd round , I have a feeling that some team is going to take him much earlier than that based off that NCAA tournament performance.

What about bj Boston? I know he had a down year, I didn’t watch him...does he have potential and could be picked around there? Greg brown?

assuming jalen Johnson is gone, I don’t know what other high end prospects are available in that range to pair with tm3 kispert or bassey in my ideal draft

Your second suggestion makes sense to me. I still want to take a swing at Jalen Johnson. I don't follow much college ball, I read on a website that Jalen Johnson couldn't handle pressure from Coach K.
I don't know if that's true, but that could be a cause of concern. Please feel free to add anything related to this piece of information if you know about it.

BJ Boston doesn't look like a high end prospect to me. Greg Brown is better than him. He will have to work his butt off, but he can become a very good player in 3 years in my opinion.

Everything will depend on workouts. I like Bassey. Kispert is the best shooter, but he doesn't bring much else to the table for my liking.

He’s a good shooter no doubt but he’s a turnstile on defense.

I don't want him for that reason.

BJ Boston is not good enough on defense.

This Rockets team needs better defenders.

Love Jalen Johnson but he is lottery pick IMO.

Greg Brown with 1 of last 2 first rounders is good value.

    Kispert is a solid defender.

He is good and works hard, perhaps I'm underestimating him. Athletic guards will give him a hard time in the NBA in my opinion. I do believe he will land around 12-14.

When I watch his videos, I don’t see poor athlete. I see a league average athlete. Maybe similar to Klay Thompson or Danny Green. Couple dunks he had his head was at the backboard.
On offense he seems to be laterally quick, and there’s effort on the defensive end.
I wouldn’t be mad at him if he falls to 23. Shooting is legit

Not quite Klay level defender but he makes up for the difference with effort.

And he is longer than Klay as well.

Right, I think they’re similar level athletes though. Nothing otherworldly but not bottom of the bin either.
I think Kispert would be a great addition to this team personally.

Whats your favorite site/source for the prospect break down/scouting?

What are you talking about? Like based on something early season that I didn't see maybe? Johnny Juzang was guarding the best opposing player at the end of the season and they were winning. Not sure how you came to this conclusion. It's definitely feels like an unfair description of the man from what I've seen.

I would like to add a no vote to Kispert's name. He looks like a 3 point specialist and very little else. His defense is terrible. Slow reactions to non-NBA talent helps me know that he's not stopping anyone who wants to drive on him. He gets out of position and is unable to use any strength when players drive on him. And for that reason: I'm out.

I like Garuba, Isaiah Jackson and Kai Jones as first round bigs but think they'll all go before pick 20. I do think the Rockets need a depth big out of this draft (unless they get Mobley of course). That is why I'm eyeing Bassey as more "traditional big". I think he can provide a lot of what Capela did (rebounds/blocks and finishing at the cup) while also having potential to be an outside threat. Think that's good (safe?) value at 23 or 24.
