Unfortunately Tatum need 3 more performances just like that to beat the Nets. He's in the same situation Harden was in for the last 8 years
He is averaging 27 points 8 assists 7 boards on 52 percent shooting and 46 from three. So far in the playoffs. Amazing what happens to his efficiency when teams can’t afford to double him as soon as he touches the ball anymore.
His efficiency should go up compared to prior years. It's the scoring attempts that will (most likely) be down. Even for game 3 people are complaining about him not shooting enough.
Look at his first 3 games vs Lakers last year! It’s better on more attempts. then Lebron gets House thrown out,,,LAL goes “small”; learn WB is not helping; so they go full game doubling Harden, and he has off night shooting, but decent assists, then has an good 5th game as well. Just zero chance with only 7 players and MAclemore getting hunted when we tried to make him an 8th man. Ego had a good series, but were those teammates after House is gone and WB isnt helping even better than GSW this yr?
Tatum will lose to the Nets and everyone will praise him for his efforts. Harden would lose to teams like the Nets and everyone called him a choker.
Man harden is good. Even his fat version is dropping 40/10 on people. he’s going to ball out this playoffs and they’ll only lose if their defense and effort continue to be inconsistent. That was preseason level lol
You can tell how fearless and comfortable James is out there on the court right now. Confidence in every dribble. He got over a month of rest prior to the playoffs, and his conditioning will literally be peaking when it matter mosts. We're about to see an epic run these playoffs.
That’s ridiculous and spoken like a true Harden apologist. This is Tatum’s 4th year. Harden’s 4th year was his first with us. You know.... the year where he led us to the playoffs and got high praise for his efforts despite coming up short. Nobody called him a choker then. People only called him that after he earned that reputation later on.
yet it was a perfect choke job...despite 'having an inferior team' rockets almost took control of the okc series were it not for the hardens inexplicable unprovoked turnovers towards the end of the games where he allowed 39 year old derek fischer to stop him multiple times in a row...
San Antonio game 6 I think its pretty much universally understood, that game popped the check engine light on Harden. To be fair I don't really blame our playoff success on Harden, just like i don't with McGrady. It's a team game. But that San Antonio game 6 was unforgettable. Clippers game 6 wasn't much better. He balled out the last 3 years overall, ill give him that, but I'd be curious to see a comparison of his numbers in the last 5 minutes of 4th quarters vs other players.
Huh, never saw this stat. How many of these 8 were from when he was a role player with OKC? I'd filter those out.
yep if rockets only have X instead right and yeah harden is the only superstar who doesn't deserve to be carried by his teammates in a single game on the playoffs
What's the logic in that statement. Durant had better teams and only got to the Finals once. With Harden.
Why did you randomly throw in game 6 against the Clippers? And yes it was much better he 23 3 and 2 thats much better than 2-11. It's amazing that people keep bringing up game 6 and then ignore that he had 30 in a series clinching game 7. I will admit that game against The Spurs was inexcusable but it was 1 game why does it eclipse everything else?
I still don’t understand the point of that stat. Lebron, Kobe and MJ never saw the defensive attention that harden gets. Getting trapped at half court? That was new. Plus there is more to basketball than just shooting. How many points did Harden generate in those games?
