Nick Wright was definitely a three-letter garden tool, snake in the grass with Harden's MVP chances back when he and LeBron were healthy and in the running. I know he's predicting a Buck's upset. What is he saying about Harden now?
All of a sudden Luka is his second favorite player He then started to slob him down It was just hilarious Rocket River
Harden only has to score often enough that teams don't forget he can score 40 any time he wants. His job on the nets team is to get everyone easy shots at their spots. He is doing that by forcing two players to commit to him which creates wide open looks for the best shooter in the NBA and one on one situations for two of the best scorers in the NBA. Harden is a basketball genius which is why Nash can't stop gushing about him. Harden is what you get when you put Nash in Ron Artest's body.
Yeah it’s the playoffs 41 points 10 assists 7 boards on insane efficiency. I know you tried to throw a cheap shot but yeah
Harden averaging 27, 7, and 8 on 51/46/93 shooting splits through the 1st 3 games of these playoffs...he has a whopping 151 offensive rating he’s only taking 14 shots a game tho, and has just a 26% usage rate meanwhile Kyrie is taking 16 shots a game, has a 30% usage rate, and is averaging just 20 points and 3 assists KD has 34.5% usage and is averaging 32 ppg on 20 shots which is really good, but he’s also averaging just 2 assists and 4 turnovers a game. Who are KD and Kyrie making better? They create nothing for the role players. Harden could average just as many points as KD, but also give u 10 apg and the ability to run the offense smoothly/control tempo while doing so.
harden has always been a better player than durant...its just the media bias and the rings argument that made people think kd is better... harden is better and its not even close
If Harden was that good he would have taken his team to the finals when Durant wasn't on the warriors.
You can't teach height and wingspan, and as long as Durant is around, he'll always have those over Harden. Natural gifts. Nifty 7fter with guard skills.
Let's not just get ahead of ourselves. Harden is durable and he can absorb contact like a physical specimen but he isn't an enforcer, he doesn't have Artest's mentality or even body. Zach Randolph's body, yeah.
As great a game as James had, I thought he was far too passive. One of the weaknesses of Nash's system is he doesn't ride the hot hand. At some point he should have given Harden free rein, and Harden should have gotten at least 5-10 more FGAs. The Celtics did that with Tatum, but the Nets offense continued to play round robin with guys who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.
To get James, the Nets left themselves short IMO as far as winning a title THIS year. Even though they've brought in buyout help, they still lack the interior play..D/rebounding. I can't see them getting past LA. First things first, though...they need to clear the East. The playoffs are a far cry from the regular season.
small sample size warning....it was only one game and a quarter.... switch them....give harden durants teammates and he wins even more than durant... and durant wins nothing with hardens supporting casts
He averaged 24.6 ppg in the regular season is averaging 27.3 ppg currently in the playoffs. How's that for your dip, bud?
harden is having his most efficent start to the playoffs that i have ever seen. I couldant believe it when i looked at harden advanced numbers these first 3 games. Its basically harden, jokic, and kawhi and then a huge dropoff for everybody else
He's been great. Hopefully the extended time off towards the end of the regular season helps him keep it up for a long playoff run.
1 game doesn't erase the general trend I was referring to. My expectation with the scoring is it will mirror what happened in the regular season when Harden played alongside Durant and Irving. Efficient high volume scoring is also harder in the playoffs than in the regular season, but maybe Harden is fresher this year so he can reverse that particular trend.
harden just produced the 46th best game in playoff history by game score ever in game 3. First player that i can track that posted a 40/10/7 game with a usage under 30% for the game. How can somebody impact the game this much without even having the ball that much.. crazy ( side note in that same game jayson tatum had the 26th best game ever by game score in playoff history, but tatum had a usage of 40%) https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/game_score.html
