You know, bona-fide kickass action stars...they're all 'old'. Seems like we're losing tough guys by attrition. (Ok, Henry Cavill is 38...almost 40)
Chris Hemsworth Scarlett Johanson Tom Holland Chris Evans Elizabeth Olsen Sebastian Stan Karen Gillan
If there were, they would've cast him for Kraven the Hunter. Guess he can call whoever made Tom Hardy explode.
Solid, but I was hoping somebody would come up with a better joke than that. I appreciate the effort, but all I can do is tee it up, somebody gotta hit it.
Guys usually don't get the "tough" image until they have some age on them. They usually start in their mid to late 30s and their prime is usually in their 40's.
I was thinking about why I precluded the MCU people. I think it's because a lot of these stars haven't done any significant or popular action outside of the MCU. Hemsworth, Evans (who I thought was over 40), Scarlett (also thought was 40) and Gillan, I guess, have a resume outside of the MCU.
Exactly this. Hard to be cast as a "did 2 tours in Afghanistan, been at my covert secret ops job for 10 years and now my wife and 6-yo kid has been taken hostage so I need to get them back" character when you look like Tom Holland.
Here would be my question... how old were these tough guys when they did their first action Eastwood Arnold Weaver Damon Reeves Stallone Willis Van Damned Chan Norris Bale Pine Smith Jolie Cruise And that will define the scope. Don't know the answers, but my guess would be pretty young. Hollywood is never at ease. Suspect they are out there but don't have the rap sheet yet.
Here are a few that got off to a fast start basically outside of the super serum.... but some of them have crossed over. Dylan O' Brien ( Maze Runner ) Liam Hemmsworth ( Hunger Games ) Donald Glover ( Solo) Bill Skarsgaard ( IT ) Zazie Beetz ( HIgh Flying ) Alician Vikander ( Tomb Raider) Alden Ehrenreich (Solo ) Felicty Jones ( Star Wars ) Daisy Ridley ( Star Wars )
