the Lakers will at least have an elite defense to try and combat BK while the Cavs had a horrible defense trying to contain GS making it not even a contest unless they had a historic offensive night...if AD goes back to playing like he did last year, BK won’t be able to stop him, and we already know what Bron does in the finals

 

The gamble was not just the trading for him, but the subsequent ludicrous contract. If his contract wasn't that big, we didn't have to give up the farm to get rid of him and take back an equally horrible contract of Westbrook. I've said it several times. Assuming the contract was a tacit agreement prior to the trade, the risk of that trade was much greater than most people think due to CP3's playoffs injury history.

 

Cp3 had one down year. His contract was worth it last year and this. No one was picking OKC to make the playoffs. No one was thinking phx would be 2 seed. Without him phx doesn't look good.

Yeah, but would he play through the playoffs after he helped the team to a great regular season? His history says no. He never had a fully healthy playoffs run, even when he was younger, not with the Clippers, not with the Rockets. And now it looks like he won't be fully healthy this year after just two playoffs game.

For the 2nd damn year we go through this dumb scenario where Frank Vogel rigidly insists on rolling out these dumb Twin Tower lineups pairing Dwight, JaVale, Gasol, Drummond with Davis like it's 1998.

Then they get clowned by quicker teams, lose a game, and then every damn year he realizes that the best center in the league is... Anthony Davis, and the best backup C is... LeBron James and that these players are...on his roster. And then the series is over.

 

To be fair, it's not his fault AD hates playing the 5 and being the only actual big on the floor

 

Let Davis and LeBron know that. They're the ones who want centers to start the game so they could play the forward positions.

 

They should have got PJ Tucker and played him at 5 just to make AD think that he's not the center.
