What will it take to make you seriously consider an EV?

My local Tesla dealer’s minimum wage entry sales kids are even millionaires from their stock options. Paid well to be a fanboy fool. Meanwhile short sellers like that fly4dat is dumpster diving for dinner. Hopefully that’s not you.

Price. I hope people don’t think they are getting the $50-60k specs paying the $40k versions price. If they are ok paying $50-60k then the question is how does the f150 lightening compare to a similar priced traditional f150. If it is not better then it won’t sell. If it is better then Ford is going to have some issues since that is their most profitable line that’s about to get cannibalized. Kind of a catch 22.

Credits aren't shady, Tesla's accounting practices seem to be. Or at least that's the major reason why it has been shorted and why Tesla get a tiny slap on the wrist in 2016 by the SEC. Without the slap on the wrist, Tesla would most likely keep up its same behavior.

 

What does that have to do with an automaker and quasi energy company?

I understand why Square and Paypal have dipped into crypto but I don't know why Tesla has.

 

I can see why you constantly feel the need to compare a mature company like Apple to Tesla. Pretty good chance Tesla gets gobbled up by big auto in ten years.

I don't know if this was already posted, since it was actually revealed (sorta) earlier this year, so it's not really "new news", but they did say it will be released next year. The Lexus electric LFZ will be released after that. It's still being called a concept, but the BZ4X looks pretty much out of prototype :
