    The birth of commercial rap. lol. Rap was around before Sugar Hill Gang. SHG and Blondie are the 2 acts that exposed it to the majority of America.

    Amazingly, that song is a few years older than that. The first time I recall ever hearing it was when when Carlton and Will were dancing to it on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and that was the SHG version.
