Clippers doing Clipper things Paul George did not do much to dismiss his PlayOff P issues - Not horrible but still nothing special Rocket River
That's one of the things that seems to show up most against bad teams. They've usually (not always, but usually) been pretty good defensively against good teams. But they let bad teams outscore them. Which is baffling.
Even the MAVS talking heads in Dallas agree with that. But, as I said...Clippers play less than the sum of their parts. Also, Kawhi doesn't seem to have that 'take the game over' in him now, which might be what they need. Luka, on the other hand, definitely has that. Plus getting everyone else their shots. Which is probably why Mavs play greater than the sum of their parts. Mavs overall had a good game...but KP didn't. If I were a Clippers fan, that would concern me.
When KP plays well, he's GREAT! When he doesn't..he's not. The problem is figuring out why that other shows up so often. It does seem that Luka doesn't get him as involved as he does the other players. I don't know why that is. There was a possession in that game where Beverly was guarding KP down low in the post. Wouldn't you feed it to KP 100 times out of 100 in that situation? Did they? No....
It was always going to boil down to them Clippers having a strategy with their backs against the wall.
I never liked the mavs at all, because of dirk. But i started watching the Mavs on NBATv some games after rockets. I just like Luka, hes such a cool dude., so you people like reeko can hate on me, but i still will love watching Rockets. Its just i am rooting for Mavericks, Luka To beat the LA Teams. This is what i was talkin about long ago when reeko quoted me. I am rooting for my texas teams, even with all the hate here. I hope Mavs can beat the clips.
Just like last year, it makes absolutely zero sense to have neither Kawhi nor PG be the ones guarding Luka. Doc was unwilling last year vs Luka, and Jamal Murray...Lue is doing the exact same thing. I don't give a damn about "saving energy for offense"; if they're as good of defenders as people tout them to be, then they need to take that challenge. Especially when they know that Morris/Bev/Jackson can't hold a candle trying to "guard" Luka...it's completely embarrassing.
That locker room is full of passive aggressives lol, even a retired Zen Master would be thinking twice about it. The LA teams had the best talents in the West, but overall bad showing in the regular season.
A vaccinated Porzingis briefly visits strip club, gets a fine. An unvaccinated LeBron briefly attends a tequila event, gets nothing. His consequence was the NBA announcing that he violated protocols, I guess.
seriously, how did they schedule this game 2 to be on nbatv going up against lakers/suns? luka vs kawhi is an nbatv series? heat/bucks and denver/portland are better matchups?
