Hinch would have been a better fit. The owner decided to go with a drinking buddy. there are plenty of non geriatric managers that aren’t using a millennial style of managing.
I dont get all of the Hinch love on this MB. He cost the Stros a WS and allowed the cheating to flourish. Hinch is where he belongs, in Detroit.
For me at least, Hinch will always be remembered as the manager who won Houston their first and only WS Title. All that followed wasn't pretty. Sure. But it doesn't negate what he achieved in my book.
