Abreu could not locate his breaking ball, at all, to anybody. Lowe chasing pitches out of the zone got himself out. They weren't pitching around Gallo (if they were, why throw him a 2-0 FB over the plate?), he just didn't go for Abreu's crap. Then he pumps a middle of the plate FB to Garcia, after a first pitch FB, who knew that was the only pitch he could throw for a strike.
I'd buy either. I just know Blum and Kalas commented that they thought they might be pitching around Gallo, but even they questioned the reasoning behind it. I agree Abreu's command was pretty suspect last night.

I thought they figured out that he is worse than awful in back to back situations. He's performed best so far with a few days in between appearances. Granted, most expected leverage relivers don't have the luxury of getting that much time off. They have a lot of strange issues that need working out. Abreu can't pitch back to back days. Enoli can't pitch on the road in front of fans. Raley and Smith have to have a total meltdown before they regroup and get it together. Stanek either needs to stop the benders or start going back on the benders, not sure. Emanuel isn't allowed to be wasted in low leverage situations, isn't allowed to be overtaxed in high leverage situations, isn't allowed to start, and isn't allowed to long relieve unless somebody gets injured in the first inning. Bielak is the "oh, he's still here? yeah, put him in!" guy. That pretty much leaves Pressly/Scrubb as the only relievers who have the ability to pitch late, haven't necessarily looked lost out there, but unfortunately can't pitch every freakin game.
Dusty is going to Lefty/Righty/Resty us right into mediocrity with a club that should be head of the pack.
There are two ways to miss a pitch. One is off the plate and the other is on the plate. I suspect the pitch was never supposed to be a strike.
Hey maybe Taylor Jones could pull a Bellinger and switch from 1B to CF (I kid, I kid...but would be nice). May have already been posted but wow:
People should blame injuries more so than Click for the bullpen situation. There's also three starters down, all of which would send a current starter to the bullpen and they'd all be available for multi-inning appearances. One starter could literally replace two guys currently in the pen.
Now this is ****ing impressive: That's 10 of 11 runners on 3B with <2 outs that Yuli has driven in this year.
