Kwame’s been catching stray bullets for years while saying nothing, I’m enjoying him speaking up

the way Stephen A keeps going at this dude, it’s almost like it was personal...he even traveled across the country talking to kids and telling them that Kwame is a scrub

then we got Barnes aka “Becky with the good hair” and Stephen Jackson who are always acting tough and running their mouth, then when Kwame finally claps back, they initially want zero smoke and it’s all “we don’t want any trouble” behavior...weak

I know what it means, but where did the phrase "clap back" come from and why?

    EXACTLY!!!!

So he didn't meet the expectations of a #1 pick. Dude still made MILLIONS and had a long NBA career.

What do people expect him to do....sit there and continually be abused? Especially by these two punks!!!

And STFU Yolo saying Kwame's crying and acting tough.

    LOOK IN THE MIRROR PUNK!!!!

Let's see you say 3/4 of the $hit you spew on Clitchfans if you weren't behind a computer.

2003 Ja Rule song called Clap Back. Rap culture stuff. Sounds more on fleek than saying 'returning fire'..... I guess. #lit

Damn...I never thought to ask what Ja Rule thinks about it.

eta: this on Urban Dic made me laugh:

    Clap Back

A dumb-assed replacement phrase for the word-phrase "comeback", which, in normal people English, means "retort".
It makes no sense since "clap" is a word that doesn't represent anything having to do with the meaning of the intention behind the phrase, and meaning something completely different.
In fact, you could replace the verb aspect of this word-phrase with almost any verb, such as:

    Fartback
    Pushback
    Suckback
    Blowback
    Pickleback
    Sayback

and the dumb-assedness of the phrase stays the same, since the focus isn't on it's etymology, but the intention of meaning that the speaker has. The reason that this is dumb is because words mean things and, now, we're arriving at a place where any word can mean anything. This, of course, will inevitably lead to the world simply "barking" at each other like dogs would since, in the future, all we'll need to do is make noises at each other to get our points across since no specific word holds any intrinsic meaning anymore.

Steve: "I was watching YouTube videos and I hear them continue using the word "Clapback", but I can't understand what they mean. The meaning just sounds like "comeback" to me."

Andy: "Yep. You're right Steve. That's pretty much all it means."

Steve: "But we already had a word to describe that. Why would people want to make up another one?"

Andy: "To quote the band The Refreshments' song 'Banditos', "Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people."

was listening to Kwame preach the gospel, and he brought up a very interesting point

Why was there so much focus on him not living up to expectations, but then there’s someone like Adam Morrison, another player taken by MJ at the top of the draft, and there was hardly a peep about him? Cody Zeller was taken 4th, and not a peep about him being the bust that he is.

Why is someone like SAS destroying Kwame for years? Why was he even going to college campuses to embarrass Kwame in front of kids? Why?

Kwame posted a video about an hour ago...60k views with 10k likes and just 82 dislikes

CTG just apologized to Kwame on the Breakfast Club for exposing the sins of Kwame’s family to the world trying to make Kwame Brown out to be somebody u don’t want to mess with because he could snap and be a killer...he probably didn’t want Kwame to dig deeper into his past, he had already sent a cease and desist

Kwame becoming a top 10 Laker of all time...keep exposing these dudes who love to run their mouth

I love listening to Kwame and agree with you on never hearing anything about Zeller but I remember hearing a ton about Morrison being a bust. Obviously not to the point of going to college campuses and speaking about him but he definitely got **** on.
