    Peddle kayaks are awesome. However they are crazy heavy and expensive. My buddy's Hobie two person cost 4 grand and weighs over 100 pounds. Hard to just throw on your truck and car to head out.

    I don't think the weight will be a problem, I've had a porta bote that I've thrown in the truck, and that's more awkward and unwieldy than anything else. Looking at the Old Town Predator, or if I get a new one it's been renamed the Bigwater 132. Haven't seen any used ones for sale yet. People really like them, and the Old Town peddle drive is also pretty popular compared to the Hobie.

    The Kayak was invented 4000 years ago. The domesticated Yak has been around since the stone age, 10,000 years. Kids started to yak around 1940. And Yacking was the result of a long night of drinking during the prohibition era.
