I would agree but even with all the injuries there isn’t a shortage of candidates who combined team success and personal numbers that should dwarf Stephs candidacy this season based on how voters have voted in the past. https://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/mvp.html I’m not saying all 9 guys ahead of him on that list are clear cut for sure have to finish ahead of Steph guys but it’s 9 guys right there that I think have an argument. And that list doesn’t have Chris Paul on it who I would also argue has a claim over Steph. My personal opinion it’s just a continuation of the “everybody loves Steph” bump. Great player, great season and because he’s so well liked he gets a bump other guys may not be so fortunate to get. Just looking at everything I just don’t see any other reason he is a top 3 finalist and I think that might be what Dame is referring to.
His sons are named Bronny and Bryce, so who is this Prince James Jr you’re talking about? Did u make that up, or are u saying he calls his son Prince in jest?
a lot of people call their kids prince, princess, young king, etc and it’s not like Lebron just came out the blue 1 day and started proclaiming he’s the king or chosen one...people were already referring to him as that when he was a sophomore in highschool...the media gave him those names
Who cares. I don't like him, don't like the Lakers, and don't like Curry. Like him all you want. Your choice.
Steve Nash's 2nd MVP says you're wrong. Do you see the parallels between that Suns team and this Warriors team?
I don't wallow in hate for him, I just can't stand watching him, and think it's weird to call any athlete a King or the chosen one. It's a game....a sport. Maybe I just don't get that obsessed with athletes to understand that type mentality. To each his own. Then again, I never understood buying an overpriced shoe just for some athlete's name on it either. It's just a market to rip people off by slapping a name or celebrity's endorsement on it. I never had a reason to root for guys like Curry, Kobe, LeBron, Dirk, Bird, Nash, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Stockton, or anyone else. To me they were always the competition I just wanted us to beat as a Rockets fan. Maybe that's weird, but who cares.
Talent isn't necessarily correlated with salary. Wiggins has the 25th highest salary in the NBA this year. Do you think that makes him a top 25 player?
says who YOU, bill Simmons, Zach Lowe and the rest of these caucasian people who cover and vote on nba awards. Harden would have 3 mvps if the nba was a credible non-bias league harden is the greatest scorer of his era. Just because harden doesn’t have all of the accolades he deserves doesn’t mean his stats just disappear lol. In fact if you go to Michael Jordan basketball reference page and scroll down to the section titled “similarity scores” you will see hardens name there and not currys ask basketball reference who is better between the two
Do I see a parallel between the Suns team that won 54 games in 2006 (4th most in the league) and this GS team that is battling for 8th place tonight? Are you a comedian?
i preffer to check on the championship section, where curry is a lot closer than harden. Harden has been to 1 nba finals, he chocked, he was on the bench on the clippers comeback and got his ass saved by a bunch of roleplayers, he got owned by 47 year old ginobili, and the spurs in general. He is just a perenial looser. When he doesnt get his bogus calls, he is just not good enough, especially on the big moments.
You always find a way to make it racial, don't you? You do realize that the people chosen over Harden haven't been white, right? And before you start talking your "Curry is light skinned" bullshit, which is racist in itself by the way, what about Giannis, Lebron, and Westbrook?
the nba media has adopted curry as the closest thing to a white american basketball player since bird. Just look at how bill simmons goes crazy over doncic, openly mocking harden while praising doncic for doing the same ****. Yea when it comes to harden nba media perception is it racial. We need more diversity when it comes to voting on accolades and awards BOTTOMLINE
I like how you just completely avoided my question. Is Giannis black enough for you? Lebron? Westbrook?
