The status quo is comfortable for those already living well. Hence why conservative polticians have an easier time having the "balls" to fight for their causes because most of their causes try to keep the status quo hence "conservatism".

I know MTG has never studied a day in her life, but... she should really study the Holocaust. Perhaps she could just spend an afternoon at the related museum in DC, since she clearly cannot or does not read anything. I find it so painful that proudly and defiantly ignorant people have places in our government. We've always had some ignorant people, but a society functions well when people are shy about their ignorance and respectful of those who've worked to obtain knowledge.
