Lebron did not give himself the name King and don't think I have ever seen him refer to himself as such.

Dame averaged an exceptional 30/8 last season on awesome efficiency.

His team was one of the most injury riddled teams in the league and he “carried” them to the 8th seed.

My opinion....neither of them deserve MVP consideration for their performances. But as far as the media is concerned one player is a no doubter MVP candidate and one player didn’t receive real consideration.

Similar team circumstances. Same seeding outcome. Very similar numbers.

For once Dame opened his mouth and it wasn’t nonsense.

They aren't. They are right in the range where they were predicted to be.

That's not surprising either. He's led the league in scoring before and has less scorers than usual. Scoring and shooting is what he's great at.

“Right in the range” means what? Vegas had them at 37.5. They were slightly better than that. Being “slightly better” means you will be in the range of the predictions.

Can’t just look at individual numbers and seeding in vacuum, though. Curry being in top 3 is due to injuries and missed games from other top contenders, plus MVP fatigue with Giannis who was clearly more deserving.

Young Steph wasn't durable either. We can remove the age disclaimer. He's just fragile in general.

Harden's style of offense translates well into the postseason too, as he is uber adaptable. Give him the teams GS had and all that free space (where you can't load up on him) and his playoff offense and results would look even better. Remember, we have actually seen him on a stacked team before. They went to the Finals before most of them could legally drink.

I don't see one roster Steph won with that Harden would've lost with, especially not the last two that Durant led to a championship. Harden on GS would play different and dominate, just like he did in OKC, here and now in Brooklyn. His style is "what system are we running and what do you want me to do".

Right in the range is not significantly off. They finished .02% higher than what Vegas predicted they would. C'mon bruh....

OK, I guess a crown tattoo with King on top and James below means nothing.

There's pretty good evidence that the Rockets were a bad team without Harden on the floor, but Harden didn't go off the floor much because he was doing his job: aka carrying a bad team when we were bad.

Curry doesn't have the stamina or strength to be what Harden is, was and will be. Debate is seriously over. Curry's success was based on others. Harden made it work with a variety of players, contributors, coaches, teams... doesn't matter. He's far superior and it's not even close. Curry just had a great set of teammates and his **** defense is finally being exposed nightly. He's not garbage overall, but he's garbage on defense and their record shows it too.

He only missed 9 games... no excuses for this debate. He couldn't play more than 34 minutes per game. This debate was put up or shut up. Curry did not put up the W's, only the numbers. Hell, Harden on the Warriors in a trade for Curry this year and Harden has them way up in the standings. This debate over who is more dominant: Steph or Harden? That's over. It's decided.

Think about how many times Harden was surrounded by 2 or 3 g-leaguers and won games. Steph can't do that.

Ok he still did give himself that name and have you not seen that type of tattoo on anyone else?

"A local newspaper called him that when he was like 15. He got it in high school but one of 'king james' and 'the chosen one' was given to him by the media and the other was self titled I just don't remember which is which. He didn't give himself either nickname. King James was coined by a local paper.May 15, 2018"

Yeah let's hate on something that happened when he was 15.

If the prediction was significantly off, I wouldn’t say “I think they were slightly better”. But, fine, point taken.

Sorry, wasn’t following your conversation so probably shouldn’t have interjected. You can ignore.

According to Ric Bucher, LeBron answers the phone by saying king instead of hello. He also tattooed choosen one on his back.

I'm saying being slightly better is not really an accomplishment. If I predict you to win 37 games (not sure if you round up or down on a 37.5 game prediction) and be a low seed and you win 39 and are a low seed, you pretty much met the expectation. And if you look up the preseason predictions (I posted quite a few) GS finished where folks thought they would. Being "slightly better"...to a minuscule degree...isn't something to hang your hat on.

He refers to himself as king and choosen one. Whether or not he gave himself those nicknames was not my contention.

So you know that because Rich Bucher said so and that could not have been in jest?

    Where does he work now?
