I don't care if the A's weren't in first place. Beating them always feels good. Their fans suuuuuuuuuuuck.
I actually feel bad for A's fans. Their city doesn't want to help w/ a new stadium. Their owner doesn't want to spend a dime on player. So now, it looks like they're going to lose their team.
I think we all know that, when the Astros offense is rolling like this, they are the best hitting lineup in baseball. This is what we expect from these guys all the time because we know they are good enough to hit like this more often than not. Straw and Maldy are coming around. This is fun baseball to watch.
The beauty of the box score is that it actually can tell you what happened. (spoiler - nothing bad happened to him. And he got the most important out of the game)
3 Reasons The Oakland Athletics Can Hold Off The Houston Astros https://www.thecoldwire.com/reasons-the-athletics-can-hold-off-the-astros-breakdown/ This is what Kate thinks about it.
I should also add the A's have been my 2nd favorite team for a long time, until the Astros moved into their division. I was a big Canseco fan as a kid. I live near Oakland and majority of my friends are A's fans.
I think alot of them will still follow the A's, but some will migrate to the Giants, and a few will not follow any team at all.
Batting averages (right now) for our top five guys are absolutely insane! (.314, .307, .324, .338, .333)
