I’d buy an EV truck. Too bad my sisters family owns nearly every dealership but Ford. Hopefully dodge makes one soon.

Buy a Hummer EV. It's supposed to be a lot faster. lol.

I think the game-changer in this is if it can tow/haul reliably, because, let's face it, that's what fleets and others who drive pick-ups want them to do (even though most of them don't end up using it that way). The original Lightnings separated themselves from faster trucks like the Syclone by basically being fast as hell, but still a real pickup that can tow & haul. On a side note, I think I mentioned this in another thread, but those Syclones are 30 years old now and are still fast as hell. I think they're as fast as these EV Lightnings, if not faster, but I wouldn't call them real pickups. lol. I remember when they came out, I thought the industry had lost their minds. Whey would anyone want a pickup that fast? Fast forward to today and now you have family sedans and pickups doing 0-60 in under 5 and 6 seconds. Nuts.

Will be interesting to know how much range you lose while towing something. My f150 has 500+ miles of range before towing, while this one has 300. So if it drops at the same rate, you won't go far while towing.

Not to mention I'm not taking a chance on first/second year reliability on those batteries or the truck in general. But then I'm not a pickup driver, so I'm not really worried about it. I'd like a decent small electric SUV or something, though, but I'm waiting for better range and interiors on most of these vehicles, but we're getting there.

This is pretty smart. I've been wondering when someone would finally try to sell EV's for the amazing performance and capabilities, (versus environmentalism and guilt). I love that this thing can serve as a power source for a bunch of other things as well, including a house (LOL) in an emergency.

I've never had torque like we have in our little EV now -- really fun.

    Lol. Nice.

It's illegal to use cab-top lightbars on public roads, just curious why this exists or is a good idea.

Tesla has been doing that for the last ten years. Toyota and Nissan sold their now failed Prius and Leaf to virtue signalers and celebrities.

Tesla could sell 0 of the 800k cybertruck reservations and still become the largest automaker by volume in 5 years, living up to the largest automaker by market cap which it currently already is. Truck market is more niche globally, its more of a ‘Merica thing, I wouldn’t lose sleep over Tesla surviving the new Ford truck.
