Mother****ing umps again... they need to be better. Why not have the TV feed box with dots somewhere in the stadium. It should be able to be broadcasted real time. At least the fans can see what the umps are missing at the game... they already see it on the broadcast.
That was the 4th time in 5 innings that a terrible call by the HPU led to a runner getting on base. Just atrocious. Why isn't the players union demanding that MLB do something? These misses effect everyone's stats and sure you can say perhaps they even out on a macro scale but as an individual player why would you let poor umpiring impact you like that?
I am consistently amazed at how well the hitters and pitchers know the zone. Universally bad/missed calls are immediately recognized. There are rarely complaints on “correct” calls.
