1. $$$$ ( take care of family, generation wealth,etc)
2. Treated like royalty by team( however temporary)
3. Will be remembered for decades ( I'd sign autographs for mfers )

Cons:
1. Ridiculed by folks that would sell their soul to be in their bust position ....
2. Probably play ball in some 3rd world country league soon after being drafted

Why?

Not coming for you but a guy who had a 13 year career considering a lot of others never made it to, 2nd contract with there teams, seems he would be lower on a bust list.

Add in the fact he was straight out of HS and go to go through that MJ BS and I have to move him further down that list.

Is it the fact he was taken #1?

I have no bones in this fight. No animus towards any players or coaches, it's not really that serious. I think it's silly to trash athletes or players at any level in general on those merits, alone, because they are sacrificing their bodies, efforts, time, and livelihood to compete in a sport. Even in youth sports, I appreciate their hustle and efforts (especially if they are excelling or out their participating against their will). I'm always generally entertained as well, because it's fascinating to watch.

For Kwame, people have routinely trashed him over the years, even more so than people who were bust and did not play even a few seasons in the NBA. Yet, he's been a whipping boy for people from sports columnists, TV talking heads, other players, and etc. That story about him with what happened in Washington with MJ, followed him his whole career. It's hard to say what went on in those locker rooms and on the court. I think it was more public perception, but I still think it would be pretty stupid to insult someone that is 6,11 -- 265+ for giggles, especially as civilian.

MB and SJax, they were discrediting and being outright disrespectful to the young man. Not any verbal lashing, but snickering about Marc Gasol being the only player that the Lakers gave up, during a pretty prominent interview (with an owner - former employer). That would strike a cord with alot of people in a similar situation.

His comments in turn, are deserved. Though, as everything else, it's ruined by the people who are jumping on the bandwagon. Who were probably watching these shows to begin with or probably guilty of doing the same things with other players.
