Oakland and San Francisco got some problems
They have rallies everyday but that doesn’t solve the problem
It’s crime and they need to police to have a larger presence or go undercover like what they do in NYC.
They let petty crime go because of stupid logic saying it’s ok for people to steal if they need stuff
And off course that’s just a green light for more crime.
That crap policy wouldn’t fly in any other city.

I don't understand the attack on elderly Asians. It's getting to the point, i have friends of different Asian background and all of them are terrified of their parents going out.

I don't know if this is just them being too paranoid or what. Anybody else have friends of different Asian background with the same concern?

I keep telling them, it's okay, not everyone out there is like this. Trying to sooth their mindset, then every few days a new attack on Elderly Asians...

 

These are crimes of opportunities. I’ve seen a mark in attacks on elederly and not just Asians. There have been teenagers preying on elderly here in the Twin Cities too particularly targeting Somali elders.

I think part is is that COVID shutdowns negatively affected a lot of people as we’ve seen petty crime rise in a lot of places. With Asians I do think that anti Asian rhetoric has contributed. It’s given people who are acting out anyway a scapegoat to take out frustrations on. With NYC and the Bay Area there happen to be more elderly Asians out.
