I'm going to partially disagree, but not completely. I don't think everyone realizes Worrell was play by play, not color when they've been suggesting people to replace him. The color aka, aka the Matt Bullard or the Clyde, is the one that's supposed to bring the quips and the entertainment mostly. Being a play by play guy is mostly about having a clear voice, good diction, a lot of focus, and decent vocal stamina. Not saying Max doesn't have that but I don't know enough about him to say he'd be a great PBP. Throw him in as the 2nd or 3rd color guy (a la Drexler) and I think that's an easier sell.
why not matt maloney since he's in the payroll anyway. then replace boring bull with mad max. you'd have a team of maloney, maxwell, clyde. maloney calls the game and maxwell making fun of whatever clyde says for 48 minutes.
