Run-Diff isn't everything but it's usually a good indicator of status Number 2 baby !!!... and rising
It's cleaner if you just put quantum mechanics in front of everything. So quantum run differential. What is it? And why do we need to care? If the Astros Physics department can't answer this simple question after 80 years, we aren't going anywhere.
According to the Everett interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, every that can happen, does happen. Meaning, every year, there is a version of reality where the Astros win the World Series. So what we should be asking our analytics guys is why we don't all live that reality?
Because in this reality, the Astros can't play the Yankees every postseason series. Still a little bitter that the Yankees lost to the Rays last year in the ALDS. Cost us a World Series Championship.
We missed out on a historically cosmic meltdown Yankees fans would have had last season when we beat them again, after everything. Would have been almost better than another WS.
Former 1st rounder Dane Dunning was part of the Lance Lynn-CWS deal, this is his first full season back from TJS. Haven't seen him, but just from what I've read he's got 5 good, none plus, pitches and can locate them all. From what the stats say, if you fall behind in the count you're screwed, and if you don't get to him early (first ~50 pitches), you're screwed. His stats this year are noisy due to a terrible start in Chicago, outside of that he's been solid.
