Well your anecdote doesn't reflect reality in terms of construction gigs giving access to some profound wealth because:

You work construction but earlier you said you worked at a bank. You don't strike me as a loan originator. Did you do custodial work at a Wells Fargo for a couple of weeks on a temp contract and that makes you an expert like you've been going on for pages now?

Where is your proof there is red lining in FHA lending? Government backed loans have strict standards. Blacks don't have the credit scores as whites.

I don't think you get the point.

An analogy would be group A being systemically shot in the leg and group B not being systemically shot in the leg and then 10 years later checking which group does better in track and field competitions.

Yes modern bank lending practices don't purposefully discriminate based in race but prior history of purpose built systemic racism such as redlining practices has created a situation where Black families systemically would have lower credit scores.

Maybe. I've experienced this with some successful South Asian immigrants looking down on any poor South Asian immigrants here. It's all based in narcissism. So he could just be very narcissistic.

And? My point is that your claim of Hispanic Americans having more work ethic than Black Americans doesn't really reflect in median wealth per houshold. Both are still signficantly less than white families which shows how important generational wealth is from owning property which white families have a signficant advantage in compared to Black families because of systemic racism and Hispanic families because most come from poor migrant pools from unstable poor counties.

 

Hispanics are 18% and are 22% of this lucrative trade. Blacks are 14% of the population.

And how does that help the Hispanic community and wealth?

Very little. Because they still only have slightly marginal wealth per household than the median black family while both have signficantly less than the median white family which shoes how much generational ownership of property is far more important than what field of labor you chose.

 

So what are you actually doing since you have a vested interest other than posting on a NBA message board.

Trying to help the black kids I encounter at these jobs. Trying to teach them values like work ethic. I think God has put in these general labor jobs for that reason

 

His solution is telling people how bad Black work ethic is.

In other words his solution is satisfying his narcissism.
