It means that charges will never be filed under this administration on a famous minority athlete who is a BLM supporter. Short of murder and maybe not even then depending on circumstances. Liberals are running the city, county law enforcement offices so they would do everything possible to sweep charges against Watson under the bus. It's why these women chose to go civil. (Smart move IMHO) Hope my thoughts are clear enough for you.

It has nothing to do with race, it has to do with political leanings and what can help some of these elected officials re-elected. Do you really think if Solis would've taken her complaint to HPD they would've taken her seriously and done an investigation? This way with Buzbee behind her you can bet your life that they will do an investigation. How thorough is open for discussion.

I understand what you’re saying but disagree with the logic behind it. The victims are primarily female minorities in the Me Too era. If the thought here is that political motivations are afoot, then I’d suggest they point the other way. Beyond that, Kim Ogg critics mostly says she’s too tough; not that she’s lenient. The people who ran against her said the office needed reform because she was too prosecutorial on even small crimes.

Just like the Texans to wait until his stock becomes even lower

There is no stock currently. There are also no teams who have viable assets at the moment to devote to a trade for him.

That will all change a year from now when teams that thought they had their QB situation figured out get desperate again. Also, Watson may be suspended most of the year regardless. The Texans don't really have an alternative option at this time other than hanging on to him and at some point letting him play to restore his value. He also would have a mutual interest in doing everything to avoid getting his contract voided... a contract he may never get again.

Cant stand the truth, bury your head in the sand if you wish.

Do you actually think HPD would've taken these women's claims seriously?

I think this will all end with Watson settling with the women and being asked by the NFL to do some type of rehab + community service.

An appropriate service to the community would be to have Watson teach a massage class on how to withhold orgasm... but my concern is no one will come.

Not true. The Eagles are interested, per Peter King (I think it was).

They have three first round picks this coming year (if Wentz is th full time starter).

Give me those three and you have a deal. It works well for everyone. Eagles don't mortgage their future. Texans save face in a very Texans-esque way.

But it's so a shrewd move for Caserio. You get the firsts. You see what you have in Mills. If he's your guy, you get a top flight WR for him and two defensive studs. If he's not, you trade up and get your choice of QB.

This would be the only viable way out of it for the Texans. It also works well for Philly.

Plus he'd go to a fanbase full of some of the worst people on the planet, they won't care no matter how many women he sexually assaults, so he wouldn't even have to change his behavior there.

    Possibly the perfect match.

Who are the Eagles bidding against and why would they just automatically hand over 3 firsts when there is no market?

Not that I would be against it... I’m just wondering if this is more connecting the dots to teams that have immediate draft capital (sort of like how Miami was an instant candidate) vs. an actual genuine discussion between teams.

Even then, Watson’s value (presuming no criminal charges) can only go up based on other team’s desperation going into next season. And presuming that the Texans are going to be one of the worst teams in football, with all their picks, they won’t have to trade up to possibly get whoever they want regardless of whether or not they deal Watson now.
