Update: Dave Chappelle defends Elon : “No one is woke enough “: Elon/JayZ/Beyonce were there too

The modern grift scheme by stand up comedians is selling they are persecuted. I've noticed this with many modern stand ups like CK and Chappelle.

 

I'm a huge Chappelle fan FYI, but the guy has said some stupid Sh$t too. And maybe that's kind of the point. It's not really about being "Woke" as it is about looking at someones entire spectrum of art, personality, public statements, values, etc. when judging that stupid comment.

Yeah, Chappelle & Elon are right to ask you to brush off the stupid things they've said to a certain extent. So yeah some folks should give it up with the Elon super hate.... and people should also stop acting like every time the guy farts he saved a child from poverty or something.

 

My biggest issue with "anti-pc" culture is a mere expression of an opinion criticizing something is labeled as "being canceled". Recently Fox News had a marathon about how Snow White was canceled because one article from one author from one publication wrote an article about her issues with the Snow White story and suddenly it's canceled. A mere expression of an opposing opinion triggers these types of people so much which is the ultimate form of irony as they believe they are the bastions of free speech and allowing all spectrums of opinions to be heard.

 

Yeah, and what Chappelle has done here is really a work of genius. Keep in mind that he "Cancelled" himself because, as he described, he had a moment of realization looking at his crowd of mostly white people laughing at black people personas. It made him hate what he had created, and his intentions in his cutting edge racial humor.

And what he's done in this comeback is really turned everything on it's head. He's selectively looking at characters like Kanye or Elon, and purposefully throwing in with them to drive his own brand, and manipulate those same people that he realized he F-ed up with.

I see his genius in the fact that he's really sort of taken charge of the situation this time, and wants to feel in control of his act this time, and is writing a masterclass in manipulation of your fanbase.

Chappelle is an amazing comedian... historic even... but it is an act at the end of the day. I doubt we really know how Dave Chappelle feels about Elon Musk or Kanye West at the end of the day, but we do know what he feels about his fans... and it's not all sunshine and rainbows.

How the hell is Chappelle "grifting" on being persecuted and when was the last time anybody has listened to CK?

What is Chappelle's "grift"?

 

The narrative that comedians like Ricky Gervais can't say the same jokes that they used to back in the day yet still say them and still make bank and usually the target of their hate are typically college kids.

 

I don't see any comedian using that narrative especially concerning them making bank or their earning potential most of the ones saying stuff like that are incredibly paid and continue to work.

I still don't know where the grift has anything to do with it.

It's all pretty much get of my lawn stuff.

 

Most blatant use of trolling I've ever seen by saying that "nobody appreciates" Dave Chappelle. That's like me going on the GARM and saying that YOU PEOPLE don't think Mario Elie's Kiss of Death shot was a contributing factor in beating Phoenix and advancing in the playoffs.

Touché I guess, but your shtick is too obvious. Be more clever next time.

 

When people call others "woke" complete with quotation marks like theyre afraid they'll get infected using the word without gramatical prophylaxis, that's a pretty good indication that im not interested in what is being said.

Its like SJW. It only exists as a word at this point for people looking to fight a culture war.

 

I don't hate Elon because he not woke. I hate him because he's pretty much a robber Barron who's destroying the south Texas coast.
