Yeah. I haven’t watched it for a long long time. I’ve come across a skit or two on YouTube that is funny. But otherwise.

There is a very good and weird as hell skit show on Netflix I Think You Should Leave. 2nd season is coming soon I believe.

Elon Musk was mobbed by fans as he arrived in the Big Apple ahead of his controversial “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig — seemingly breaking bread with several cast members at a dinner date.

    Musk — who’s
worth a reported $165.8 billion — also pointed us towards an interview Michael Che gave to the radio show “The Breakfast Club,” in which he supported the Tesla honcho as host, saying “It’s a rich man’s world — of course I want to meet him.”

The comic said: “I am getting so much done, I am going to give him so many ideas … It’s fun. It’s exciting working with the richest man in the world.”

As for any controversy, Che said having Musk host is “cool, it’s polarizing. I like when the show has some edge.”

“I think white people don’t like billionaires for some reason,” Che expounded. “We love our billionaires. If Oprah or Tyler Perry was coming we’d be all excited about it, but for whatever reason, I think it’s a little embarrassing when they realize how much wealth they have.”

I'd say we can have both in the table. What we shouldn't have is some absolute king george like authority, thats what the revolution was. unchecked representation, and the fact is there are different levels of living in this country, be it city vs rural , be it different class structures. Simply put having more representation is key and that would also include breaking this two part binary deluded two party system that seems to only work to entrench power in people to be career talkers.

Aoc has significant flaws as does bernie in some of the nuances and lack of details in selling a pie in the sky simplification of some ideals, she also has some very strong points and representations for the working class and some of the abuses when you see if there have been abuses in terms of comparing pay, access to better yoursel in terms of education, social mobility, owning a house in terms of inflation.

Social mobility in america is harder than ever, and that was a great thing about the land of opportunity. College was affordable for people to be able to work a job, support themselves, cut thin cost and go through college. But the rate of college has gone above inflation significantly, also the effectiveness and guarantee of it in terms of wages and expectations for entry level employees while housing cost and stability is also something thats created a renters market entirely, more consildation of people who already have money rather than the land of opportunity. That same part time job or summer job may not even cover your books in the modern day. And that mound and mold is growing like a damn that affects other parts of our society.

We continue to spend billions of actual cost, perhaps much more in opportunity cost in a ridiculous drug war, wasting police resources and also disrupting police community relations by them having tto do their law enforcement jobs with senseless laws made by the out of touch suits.

Likewise, we can see abuse of the top. I'm all for people eraning billions, millions,It makes absolute since and we want to reward something unique, theres also an abuse of that as we've seen at the top and then also a diluted part of job creators. For example our owner could lose his entire landry's platform, those jobs wouldn't be lost, the assets would go into debt, be auctioned off and new owners will come for those restuarants. Its more replaceable than something propriety or innovative compared to what Elon does.

Thats the point, the stupid flat line apply one simple rule to all is almost as dumb as AOC/Bernie selling a piece in the sky without looking at the economic adn social ramifications, likewise for others arguing for a strict unregulated market Which we saw how this worked out with the Hatch act and the supplement industry. Its ripe with fraud, to this very day, hard to prove effectively and has created a huge snake oil market in the name of deregulation. Likewise the abuses of the airline industry, price fixing with slap on the wrist 60 million finds that don't change their ways, let alone subsidies to 'save them'. Republicans are quick to ignore corn and soy subsidies due to their donors. Democrats were quick to ignore the misguided Dodd-Frank act to 'punish' the financial industry. If you steal someones money or rob them of 5k and goto a casino, you'll goto jail. But apparently if you do it for billions, your twoo big to fail. Ceo's didn't see jail, they didnt even mostly get fired, they almost continued to make more money while they gambled and toppled americans. That regulation, supported by obama and warren, led to less social mobility. You need to have more collateral for banks to lend for you, making social mobility much harder and making it much easier for people who already have money to continue to get help.

The problem is any solution of this becomes some binary option, the stupidity of fox/OAn vs CNN/Msnbc. rather than nuanced discussion and understanding. It takes both, democracy simply put is only effective with all sides on table. Elon Musk should absolutely have a seed on the table, yet at the same time are you aware that the only way tesla is profitable is the subsidies of trading energy credit, not his car? Thats a solid argument, at the same time he pushed the market strongly. Likewise with Bezos, I'm not talking about capping him at billion, its an argument he should still be worth 100 billion, he'd still have 66 billion so that the company that it works on still doesn't have forces that hurt the rest of the economy and socialize our cost, likewise with Wal Mart. HAving AOC, a self earned bar tender who paid her way through college with scholarships and market, a non politician who got voted and broke even deomcracts hearts shouldn't be written off. IT would be too simplistic Foxx/MSNBC to write off and the idea that we should only have one dear leader is as anti american as I can imagine, yet thats what the current culture calls for?

    Heres master capitalist:

    • WARREN BUFFETT:

      Well, there's always a mismatch.

I mean, you know, as the economy evolves, it reallocates resources. Now, the real problem, in my view, is — this has been — the prosperity has been unbelievable for the extremely rich people.

If you go to 1982, when Forbes put on their first 400 list, those people had $93 billion. They now they have $2.4 trillion, 25 for one. That is — this has been a prosperity that's been disproportionately rewarding to the people on top.

    • WARREN BUFFETT:

I didn't think what happened on the Paris agreement was a good idea.

We have to live with the rest of the world. And it's a mistake, in my view. Trade has generally developed in this country. We actually export 12 or 13 percent of our GDP. It was only 5 percent in 1970. But it benefits us. It benefits the rest of the world.

It doesn't benefit the steelworker maybe in Ohio. And that's the problem that has to be addressed, because when you have something that's good for society, but terribly harmful for given individuals, we have got to make sure those individuals are taken care of.

    • JUDY WOODRUFF:

Something that affects all businesses is the cost of health care in this country.

    • WARREN BUFFETT:

      Right.

    • JUDY WOODRUFF:

And you have been vocal about that.

You have argued that, right now, in effect, that the cost of paying for health care can affect a company even more than taxes.

    • WARREN BUFFETT:

Well, it does, I mean, in terms of our competitiveness in the world.

Health care in 1960 was 5 percent of GDP. And there's only 100 cents in the dollar. So, it's gone from 5 cents — 5 percent to 17 percent. And it keeps going up. Corporate taxes have gone down from 4 percent to 2 percent.

So, corporate taxes are way less of a factor in American competitiveness than — I'm talking about overall business — than medical costs.

    • JUDY WOODRUFF:

And as we sit here today in Omaha, the Republicans in Congress are madly trying to figure out what to do to replace Obamacare, the Affordable Care Act.

    • WARREN BUFFETT:

      Yes.

    • JUDY WOODRUFF:

Do you have a firm idea in your mind of what ought to be done about Obamacare? Everybody acknowledges there have been some problems with it.

    • WARREN BUFFETT:

I think that's way outside of my circle of competence.

But I would say this. You can't have that 5 go to 17 and move on to 20 and 22 or 24 percent, because there are only 100 cents in a dollar. And health care is gobbling up well over $3 trillion a year. It's just about the same as federal — the federal budget is getting up there.

    • JUDY WOODRUFF:

Are we now at the point where the country does need to think about some sort of single-payer system in some form or another?

    • WARREN BUFFETT:

With my limited knowledge, I think that probably is the best system, because it is a system — we are such a rich country. In a sense, we can afford to do it.

But in almost every field of American business, it pays to bring down costs. There's an awful lot of people involved in the medical — the whole — just the way the ecosystem works, that there is no incentive to bring down costs.

    • JUDY WOODRUFF:

And it sounds like you're saying, with a single-payer system, it would be easier to figure out a way to get those costs down.

    • WARREN BUFFETT:

It would be more effective, I think.

My point here is the argument of if AOC/Elon musk should be the decision maker might be great for Twitter, might be great for Fox/OAN, MSNBC/CNN to have politics like sports, but its as anti american and undemocratic as anything. People like both, should be represented and essentially americans should have more say in even acute decisions. WE have uncovered tracks in our country that are uncovered gold. Local Elections, if you can't vote for them, more of then nto you can vote for who appointed them. being engaged by the silly national media who focus on just the big names was the fallacy that led Trump to believe he was the reason for stock rises, well then someone might need to believe Biden i s the reason that it reached records while he has been here? Real answer, neither of the did it. They all help shape policies, but this isn't a kingdom and its been an embarassment to see us funneled like sports teams into believing that. Nothing works better than fighting a common enemy, nothing is easier to manipulate and divide and conquer and sadly thats what these news people do, thats what our politicians on both the dumb sides have done to replace our great american ideals in the flag with flags of their own campaigns and blind agreement rather than demanding checks/balances, transparency and accountablity both sides pretend to be heros, and their blind followers sheep in line. Likewise with this argument, to disregard another sincere argument just means prepetual stupidity. We've done incredible things, we havent cured stupidity.
