When Blummer chimed in with the Maldonado update.i fully expected him to say "he sucks". Fortunately he's just injured
Abreu got screwed against stinky and then yielded a couple of softly hit grounders. Poor fielding, umpiring, and luck was responsible for that cluster****.
He's been one of the very worst hitters in the game this year, even when you strip out the BABIP luck.
On a good note... Astros lost this game, the Yankees didn't take it. We need to win tomorrow, don't think we'll be able to beat Cole.
I was at the game today and man that collision didn't sound good at all. You can hear it over the F*&% ALTUVE chants!
I think the focus on Altuve by Yankee fans displays their complete lack of awareness and is driven more by Altuve owning them then the non-cheating by him 4 years ago.... I can understand Correa, Yuli, or Bregman but to focus on one of the few players that refused to participate in the cheating just makes them look ignorant... Nothing new I suppose...
They should actually focus all their attention on Marwin Gonzalez when he comes in town to play with the Red Sox 10 or however many games they play. His 2017 season (outlier) has apparently vaulted him (with Gattis) as the biggest benefactors of the scandal. But in Marwin's case, it was a FA year... and he stole all that money from Minnesota. Thus Minnesota should actually be the most angry at the cheating scandal because it literally cost them something tangible/real.
I agree... the only players who hit better at home that year were Marwin and Correa when you look at the splits. They don't seem to care about Gattis, White, Fisher, Marisnick, Marwin, Beltran, Aoki, etc. I wonder why?
