If your drive is fried, they aren't going to do a full tilt forensics whodunnit. They're going to replace the drive and reimage the laptop.

In fact, it's so easy to reimage a drive, that's pretty much the second level of 'troubleshooting' these days because it's easy and fast.

The days of dork-a-thon troubleshooting sessions are done at the desktop level.

***However*** if they have some sort of mobile device management software or monitor your applications with SCCM or something like that, they're going to question why you're mining crypto while the laptop is running and being monitored.

I came across this while looking for another SSD a week or two ago. I may look into it, but damn, I hope it doesn't cause a run in drives. The video card market is already screwed thanks to crypto. lol. :D

I was going to say, I'd be more worried about the latter. Probably best not to do anything like that on your work pc. lol.

I've doubled up my money on Doge. Pretty happy with that.

Just not sure if I should ride it, hoping for it to hit a buck, or if I should sell.

I went a little bananas and bought 25 14tb drives.

According to calculator, theoretically, I should make $34k/mo

Man that's nice. How were prices/availability for your rig? Is chia big enough to start causing shortages, and are you using western digital? Makes sense to buy wdc shares?

Well, WD is selling out or limited purchase everywhere. Shop.westerndigital.com keeps crashing. I heard reports of HDs selling out in China last week.

Did some checks, local vendors in Singapore saying same thing about Enterprise ssds. Is wd or Seagate more pop with the chia crowd?

ETC is 'only' up about 7x in that same timeframe so you're right to Lulz when compared to Doge

ETC is the #20 coin in market cap and you can still mine it so there's viability there.
