Used to bragged to my football friends that at least the Rockets were a competent org compared to the shtshow Texans, now the Rockets r a real contender for the shttiest Houston org
I call bullshit. I don’t care who Totally believable. Patrick is usually involved in the decision making process up to a point, especially when pops is not around. Rockets wouldn’t be the first NBA franchise to do this. Miami Heat’s CEO is Mickey Arison’s son, Nick.
Yeah, it's a Dreamcast, but those new gizmos are expensive! OG 2K is the best anyway for learning the ropes. Good enough for your dad, good enough for you.
Keep doubling down on trying to silence the media before they speak. Real cool of you. Who gives a **** about tone, disrespect is disrespect and you were disrespectful of our member who has meant way more to this beloved site than you. He's earned your respect around here yet you drug him down with your fraction of nicer tone than mine.
It’s hard to tell from the outside, but it actually seems like Patrick is doing a decent job and has at least become respected in the FO. The problem is how many other experienced, senior people are leaving. If this means Tilman lets Patrick get on with things and keeps his nose out and stops forcing awful, franchise ruining trades, great. Because I think anyone is better than Tilman tbh with you. But I felt a lot better about Patrick being in the FO when Morey, McNair, Stone, Rosas and Tad were all there too. He’s had great work experience, I’m sure he’s learnt a lot, but 3 years isn’t much of a pupilage to start taking the reigns with nobody else to lean on except a rookie GM.
https://www.nba.com/heat/contact/directorynarisonhtml Dude, Nick has way way WAY more pedigree and time spent working in lower positions before he took over of CEO. LOL can you imagine someone asking Patrick to work at Team USA?
I would never do that. I wasnt speaking to Ben the Journalist, I was speaking to Ben the CF user and even then I would never try to "silence" anyone, people can post what they want, we are just casually talking on here as fans. This is going way to far. I even apologized to him and didnt reply like I said I would.
There isn’t a good way to spin this. I dare you to try. “Well, at least we will have a young, forward thinking CEO. The Rockets like to stay cutting edge in their approach.” Nah **** this.
I don't like the owner. Now, he's put me in the position of rooting for a best case scenario of his failson becoming "Patrick the Mediocre." I've been a Rockets fan since they moved to Houston. I lived through some bad losing years, but never have I been so pessimistic about the future. At least Bud Adams is having a good day.
Look, you told the man what his opinion was before he gave it. That's not cool. It's mad disrespect to put words into another man's mouth. Let him speak for himself and quit doubling down. And don't worry, I'd still invite you into my house. I'd just invite you in and explain to you until you understood that you don't put words into another man's mouth. You let him speak for himself. Especially a member of the media.
We had a great run with this franchise, 35 years of competitive ball and at times in the title mix. I've already accepted the reality of Tilmans Rockets. The Astros are the only meaningful franchise in this city, the Rockets and Texans are run by trash. Hopefully we at least build a competitive team, but I'm holding no hope for real contention.
According to yall the NBA is rigged so working at a casino sure is valuable. It smells like so much b**** in here.
A you expletive kidding me. It's not April fools. My sarcasm about the Rockets just turned to full hatred.
