L,W,L I've watched a handful of Yankee games this year. I don't like the matchup with our pitching. Specifically, the middle innings relievers. The Yankees tend to work starters hard. You look up and a starter has 71 pitches in the 3rd inning against the Yankees. I don't trust Abreu, Smith, Bielak, or Scrubb to keep the ball in the yard and navigate the 5th,6th, and 7th innings. Meanwhile, we've seen a number of pitchers get really easy 7-8 pitch innings to start a game off against our offense. Altuve flies out on the first pitch, Brantley works a few pitches and grounds out, then Bregman pops up. Also, we are starting another 13 games in a row without a day off. Dusty can't go all out with Pressly and Stanek in this series. Meanwhile, the Yankees only have 3 more games after this series before another day off. They can be a little more aggressive with their bullpen arms. If we win 1 game the roadtrip is .500. Against the Yankees and Rays that's not terrible. Hope I am dead wrong.
I derive great pleasure from beating the Yankees. Watching their fan base take Ls just hits different from other teams.
I will say my dislike is mostly towards the Yankee fans. I am sure there are plenty of decent people that cheer on the Yankees, but they have a lot of annoying fans.
