Again, you aren't reading or understanding what I've said.

I agree with you that the kid was wrong and the racial slurs used were wrong.

You act as if I had said something different. Learn to read or stop responding.

Corporate America did make that kid punch that other kid

your idea of having that parents who’s kid punched the other kid and the victims parents share some hotel time share won’t do anything

If the parents are ok with punching and racial slander that’s on them

your time sharing idea won’t stop racism at the AAU tournament

If Kid A punched Kid B
    Then it’s obvious who’s wrong
Don’t need the karma police to tell you that

That isn't my idea nor does it have anything to do with anything that I've written.

I'm talking about things that will better benefit people and reduce future incidents like this.

You are talking about sucking up to people you admire but don't really recognize you as an individual even if they are happy to have individuals do them favors on basketball websites and further serve to divide those that might pose a threat to their disproportionate power.

You will never be an Elon or Bezos until you are ready to buck the system. Your posts serve to prop up the system. If you aspire to middle management than you are on the right track.

    now back to the topic.

This is a pretty simple thread and in action or lack of sympathy in that region is troubling

I do think parenting is a problem here.
Don’t know what the solution would be

but it’s not having people buy timeshares @FranchiseBlade
    That idea is dumb

Again you are acting as if I beleive that the kid that through the punch and used a racial slur wasn't wrong to do both.

I said that he was and should be be held accountable.

But your focus seems to be limited to that. I'm trying to address changes that will help reduce further incidents like this. You are proceeding in a focus that will only increase division.

There have been social changes and progression that have happened in spite of or even in contrast to corporations.

Your aspiration to lap dog status is secure. If you work really hard at it you will earn the comfort, security, and respect of a lap dog. You will have acheived your middle-management goal. Congrats. I'm seriously happy for you if that is what you aspire to.

Your time share idea is dumb
no Black or Asian or any race wants to buy a time share
    That won’t bring people together

what brought people together was Michael Jackson

Sure. Do you think groups that bond over common obstacles will be less likely to fight each other over less significant differences?

Uh those kids are going to fight on the court but what they need to learn is to not yell racist things to each other

And they need to be smart like these dudes
So they can be rich and famous

    It starts with their parents
    And content they are consuming

like looney tunes and the muppet show
And great music like Michael Jackson
And frozen yogurt instead of ice cream

I don't know how many of y'all coach or referee or played youth sports but kids say a lot of dumbsh^t things and do a lot of dumbsh^t things. It is up to adults to guide and control them from that.

Racism is bad OKaayy.. but I do think we need to be careful about making more of this as a struggle of BIPOC versus the entrenched power structure. This was a heated game and not knowing more about it than the few seconds of video I'm careful about reading more into it. As a referee I wouldn't see it though as my role to make this part of a larger struggle but to make sure the game happens smoothly and most importantly the players are safe.

I'm not an AAU basketball ref but I'm presuming the rules still empower a referee to eject any player that deliberately tries to injure another player (the punch) and also to issue fouls to players, coaches, parents who use defamatory and offensive language. Racist language certainly qualifies as that but so would another player telling another player he's a "r****d" or saying he's going to go "F^(% his sister and his mother". That's different than trash talking like "Don't bring that weak ass sh^t here!" which is demeaning but doesn't refer to anything beyond the game itself.

In those incidences the ref needs to take charge issue T's and warn the coach of the offending players that they risk forfeiting the game if it continues.
