Yea its a regurgitated and passed along narrative that spreads. All the best rebounders have gimmes or easy ones. But pound for pound, Russ may be among the best in history, He is physical, explosive, and relentless and thats what it takes to be an elite rebounder. He definitely has his flaws, oddly enough people make it some sort of binary option rather than those last 10 games or the 10-2 run they are on into the playoffs would not have happened without him. Heck you could probably only replace him with a handful of players and still get those wins. Hes volatile, can lose you games, but also win you games and raise the floor unlike very many in the nba. I get that triple doubles are arbitray, but you can just call them a high level almost league leading amount in that category. You can make it 20-8-8, its still less than a handful of players that can achieve that level. He also has some 75 plus percent winning rate when he does those 'winningless stat padding' . Anyone will be getting a 20 million plus pay day with those numbers, so you can say all losing team players should just stat pad as if someone just decided to. they also created some narrative of him stealing steven Adams rebounds, sure enough with Paul, now with new orleans Adams Rebounding numbers, including rebounding rate remains close to the same.

This means next to nothing as far as what was posted. There’s literally nothing to run from. Dude is now in the east and can’t even be a .500 team

Yeah you just said he doesn’t win games though. He was injuried to start the season we like to forget he had a torn quad and then the team was ravish with COVID, did you forget that part? Or outside of Beal and sometimes Rui they don’t have much? Smh this thread was packed when Russ was struggling, now that has been ballin, it’s gotten real quiet in here. Lmaoooo.

Nah people like you just conveniently make loser excuses for him that are gimmicks. Yeah he doesn’t. It’s quiet bc people pretty much don’t give af about him anymore. Typically people want to talk about things that matter. He doesn't. Players don’t care to play with him and his team won’t do anything. That’s why he has to try and defend himself all the time to the media lol

Imagine choosing THIS year, yet again one of the worst of his career, to act like Westbrook is actually out here balling...

A year where his scoring efficiency is 7% below league average. Awful

A year where he is 1st in turnovers and averages 20% more TO/Game than the 2nd most.

A year where his WAR is 0.1(214th in the entire league)and his win shares/48 is yet again one of the worst of his career and pitiful for a max player. A year where just about every single all encompassing impact stat shows him to be just an awful contributor to wins...

Picking THIS year to come in here and gloat about him still balling.

    Magical.

Who are these players that don’t care to play with him when damn near every teammates has said Russ was their favorite teammate including rockets players from last year. Y’all be running with dumb ass narratives. You cornballs Zack Morris type don’t care about him but this thread is damn near 50 pages. Smh

everyone that has left him. that favorite teammate bs is more fairy tale gimmick bs. and no not every damn near teammate has said that. foh with all that meaningless garbage. who gives af. This thread is in the lower 30s. And you're talking about 50 pages. It won't even reach that before this season is over. You apparently can't count correctly being such a dramatic with that over exaggeration.

He has won over his teammates and now the Wizards are a dangerous team. Still limited when the games get serious, but good for him. He's doing it his way.

He has 10 points on 3-4 shooting, 17 rebounds, and 21 assists after 3 quarters! 27 minutes. Wtf?!?

Edit: Make that 20 assists. Looks like ESPN took one away for whatever reason.

He was hurt in the bubble playoffs and was not good. That was when it mattered most. They had some good moments during the regular season, but don’t act like the playoffs didn’t happen. He was obviously hurt and a shell of the player we saw most of the regular season, but what happened in the playoffs was also real.

The Westbrook tonight is the Westbrook every coach likely dreamed they could get out of him consistently.

    5-8 shooting

    0 3s attempted

    4-4 FT

Leave the scoring to those who are good at it. A Westbrook that consistently shoots 20-30 times a game will lead you nowhere.

Remember when the Rockets “upgraded” from “Westbrick” to Wall?

    Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Can't imagine how triple-doubles aren't his #1 goal and obsession. Did he average one last season? I don't think so. It must have killed him not to. Probably has Trip-Dub license plates on all of his vehicles. Probably buys at least 10 of everything.
