This is how we're going to see this end. With a whimper and not a bang. There is going to be a trickle of retractions, clarifications and redirections mixed in with apologies. The false story that the election is stolen will continue to persist but less and less people will pay attention to it.
Last I checked, 60% of Republican believe in the Big Lie that the election was stolen with widespread fraud. 50% of Republican think the Jan 6th Captial attack was peaceful and the violence was staged by the left to make Trump look bad. How is our society and government supposed to function properly when one whole party of essentially a two-party system is so deluded?
