Why the hell would you draft a QB in the 3rd, knowing y'all gonna be terrible enough to draft a highly rated QB next year? And when you trade Watson, you're gonna get at least a 1st next year...
Not the first 3 qbs I wanted when they were supposed to receive the greatest haul in picks in NFL history but he's better than Mac Jones, can throw on the move and create his own angle like Lance. Don't know if he'll be as good as those guys but there is only one way to find out. Start him game one. A lot of shotgun from where he came from so don't morph into an i-formation. That was my beef in Deshaun's first few years, going away from what he was comfortable.
Back to punting at qb for the next era. Would rather have started the process of patching up the rest of the lineup.
Well if anything this made a point blank statement about whether keeping Deshaun Watson is in the “best interests” of the team
Iirc both Watson and Mahomes ran 4.57 when they came out so that's not super slow. They did say he was a 5-star recruit.
That or developing a back up? I’m not a fan of the pick. I just don’t know what else they can do right now.
Davis Mills is not exactly what I was hoping for, but Nick Caserio and the Patriots had a very good experience picking Jimmy Garoppolo at a very similar spot in the draft (Garoppolo was taken at #62 in the 2014 draft; Mills taken #67 in this draft). Leg injuries are a concern for Mills, but they are also why we were able to get him in the 3rd.
