Neither Faucci nor Biden were proven wrong. What a stupid conclusion.

The news should be celebrated as should all the folks that have gotten vaccinated

Biden should be thanked for ramping up the logistical rollout of the COVID19 vaccine. Didn't Trump miss his daily vax goals by a lot? Biden is crushing it.

I'll give credit to Abbott that things didn't end up bad but this is one area where I would say has more to do with luck than it does to planning. It happened that vaccinations appear to be keeping pace with infections and there also probably is something to that people are outside more.

I will point out that MN and several other states that still have mask mandates have seen rates of infection drop too.

In fact MN's 14 day change has been much greater than TX's.

It's amazing how much this stuff means to to you.

Getting some strong spending to much time in the basement vibes from you.

The kicking and screaming in here that TX made a calculated, well thought out, reasoned decision... it's driving some of yall nuts.

Is it just me or has anyone else not noticed a difference since the mandate was lifted? Everywhere I go is still the same regarding masks and distancing.

I definitely notice a difference. There's easily way less people wearing a mask at any place I go to as opposed to when it was mandatory. It's much closer to about 50/50 now. That includes any type of operating business

Florida lifted their mask mandate a long time ago, but every single business I enter in Florida requires a mask and advises distancing. And, the majority still limit the number of people that can enter.

finally played some ball for the 1st time in over a year yesterday, and

I eventually got my jumper going, but I couldn’t finish anything around the rim...I had no lift...my legs had no energy in them...call me Reeko Oladipo

the most annoying thing was that some dudes were talking trash acting like they’re so good, but I knew if I wasn’t so rusty and out of basketball shape, I’d be cooking them like shrimp and chicken

There is zero difference here, in very red Hill Country. Most/all stores still ask for masks, the people that didn't wear them still don't.

I've never felt that my freedom was encumbered by a little mask, so I'll keep wearing mine indoors for a while.

    But...but...Neanderthal thinking!

Maybe, just maybe, TX gathered all of the relevant information, and made a reasonable, educated, calculated decision to open up when it did. It would be nice if Biden and the other Lefties waited to see how it would work out before assuming it was a negligent decision.
