5th pick is going to OKC. Prepare yourselves. Spoiler *The NBA draft lottery took place during the Playoffs on May 14, 2019. This was the first year in which the new NBA draft lottery system is applied, where the draft lottery was expanded to the top four picks (rather than the top three); and where the three teams with the worst records had equal odds. Teams with better records had an increased chance for a top-four pick when compared to the previous system, which was what happened for the New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies, and Los Angeles Lakers this year. 2019 Lottery 1. It's unlikely we're getting the #1 pick this year, unlikely we're getting Cade Cunningham, and no matter what player we get, it's unlikely he'll end up being as good as Harden. People need to temper their expectations. I'd love to be wrong about this.
IF that happens this team, this site, will likely be a wasteland. Lord help us all, I would begin to worry about keeping the team in Houston after Fertitta starts looking to abandon ship. You are probably right about all of this. Hopefully, the Rockets wont need that guy to be as good as Harden because Wood/KPJ/future picks are able to lighten the load for that guy in a way that James never really had as an option.
So youd be fine with him selling to a group looking to bring the NBA back to Seattle? You despise the guy that much that you'd sacrifice the franchise just to be rid of him? I hate the fact that he is the owner and his brat kid is the GM in waiting but having a team to root for is worth putting up with that **** in my mind. And when it isnt worth it I will stop.
We have a 48 percent chance of not even having a lottery pick this year even if we have the worst record in the league.
I think with the worst record our chances of getting the number 1 pick is like 14%? Assume we don't get the top pick, and to save yourself some heartache go ahead and assume we don't get a top 4 pick either.
Our overall AVG position is pick 3.7 which is the lowest of any team. So if we end up with either pick 3 or 4 then we landed where we should have. End up with 1 or 2 and we would have WON the lottery. End up with 5+ and we LOST the lottery and wasted the entire season.
I wouldn't include Wall on this list, I think we are a better team without him. He's our top tank commander.
