I like Jalen Johnson but he avoids contact.
Scottie Barnes is more of a safe pick with more experience. Kuminga has good upside and he can play on both ends. He is athletic and strong for a 18 year old.

If Rockets do not get top 4 pick then they get Heat pick.

Rockets also get Blazers (top 14 protected) and Bucks (unprotected) firsts regardless.

    All 3 are teenagers.

And both Barnes and Johnson are better basketball players, more skilled with just as much upside.

    We can agree to disagree.

I really like Cade but imagine if 6'11 Banchero were available this draft.

Like Cade, Banchero is a point forward.

Banchero is so much better than Chet Holmgren IMO.

Yes. At this moment: Worst case scenario for the Rockets is Miami’s pick #16 and Buck’s pick #24.

Best case scenario for the Rockets is Rockets pick #1, Blazers pick #19 and Buck’s pick #24.

Everyone really believe that Blazers fall completely out of playoffs with only 10 games left?

I'm concerned that the Blazers will end up retaining their pick.

He just mentioned the best case scenario in a hypothetical sense.

If the Blazers lose the play-in, yes

I'm lost. MIlwaukee pick is unprotected, so that's irrelevant to anything. How do the Blazers have any effect on whether we get Miami's pick?

I got it now, it's the effect not the cause.

And here is tracking the Miami pick but hope we don’t have to worry about it. It’s quite similar to the Blazers pick. As they could be I a play-in tournament. The only difference is that Miami pick is not lottery protected.

    #7 Miami
    #8 Charlotte
    #9 Indiana
    #10 Washington

Banchero is the next mega star. He is Giannis with a wet jumper and Kyrie type handles. He is that guy that everyone would build in a dynasty video game. 7 foot "point" who would just bully everyone on the court.

I'd take him over any player in this draft and Im completely OUT on Holmgren.

Ok if we get Cade, what happens to John Wall?

    Why out on Holmgren?
    Banchero looks legit for sure.

    Nothing that wouldn't happen otherwise.

Wall will be a Rocket for at least next season and up to the trade deadline of the next.

There’s no effect. We own the POR pick from Covington trade, lottery protected. The post you were responding to was confusing, imo.

only the Miami pick is relevant to OKC’s swap rights. We own the Bucks and POR picks separately.
