Disaster unfolding in India. 1st wave was milder than though it would be. Guard went down and now it’s spiking fast. 300k new daily cases, 2.5k daily death (both surely underreported). The US needs to help where it can. Release extra vaccine and raw ingredients needed by India - they do have their own vaccine manufacturers but apparently lack raw materials.
I hope everyone helps india. Reports of double and now triple mutant strains in india already, could trigger a new wave on the whole world if it festers and new deadly variants come out. More than all those other losses combined is nothing to scoff off as a small percent, like so many politicians in the GOP seemed to do.
The India situation is sad. This is what happens when you DONT take the virus as seriously as possible or let your guard down for even a little bit. every single country that has not taken covid seriously has been disastrous. Trumps America, Bolsonaros Brazil, modi’s India, Putin’s Russia.
