The hatred or dislike of Islam isn't limited to or exclusive to Anglo-Saxon people at all.

Islam is the most disliked religion on the planet...

Folks, I remember when I was a kid bagging boards down at the Lumber Unit for 5.25 an hour back in 92. Taught me quite a bit about life, splinters and the value of a dollar.

These days the tiktok kids with their desire for a living wage - wtf? Go bag some poplar and then get back to me.

Wow... America is in a scary place right now... not just diminishing the first amendment, but decriminalizing if not promoting people running down protestors on roads.

Oklahoma gov signs bill that provides protections for drivers who hit protesters blocking roadways

It’s sad that they defacesthis guy, it’s sad also that Obama and him made a financial cap limit, until Obama backed out. Tribalism in our representatives system doesn’t help anyone, transparency and accountability does. No one is perfect, they aren’t gods that were “followers” of, thats what led to trump who inciting violence or anything bc the only consistency in his policy was trump first, likewise Maxine Walters to get in the Frey incites violence and then pelosi says nah, that’s a part of why we’re ineffective governors this binary bs. It’s like the one guy who wouldn’t trade Nwaba/house for Maxey/Thybulle, blinders are real, what about.... doesn’t fix the problems

A case for younger people while in school being introduced to the economic system, a place where smaller wages make sense. But if your a grown well to do adult willing to work full time at the Walmart and then have use stamps to get food from said wal mart while the top is making so much, that’s called privatizing the profits socializing the costs. It’s always more nuanced then better wages.

A mom and pop could very well struggle with the new minimum wage, but the consolidation of these large companies it’s easy. They need to skim some off the top, imagine if beZos still was worth 100 billion, as he should be wildly successful but the 66 extra billion was redistributed back to the employees and backbone until he automated the whole damn thing so they don’t have to **** in bottles.

yet the media and politics is to there should be no billionaires, tax like crazy to none at all....and effective tv sensation, ineffective government not moving the needle

Or, in the alternative, stay out of the road. Problem solved.

Would you be ok with motorists running over jaywalkers?

It depends on the circumstances. Does the motorist have the time to stop? Is the jaywalker presenting a danger to the motorist? Obviously you cannot intentionally seek to run down jaywalkers (nor does this new bill allow you to seek to run down protesters).

Have people been dragged from their vehicles and beaten by jaywalkers? Would you agree that if the protesters are not in the road, the odds of them being hit by a car are drastically reduced?

Remember, this is "a bill that protect drivers who unintentionally injure or kill protesters while attempting to flee their demonstration." It isn't a license to hop in your murder wagon and plow through a protest with your wheel blades extended.

So what was the purpose of this law then?

If previous laws would allow a motorist to hit a jaywalker if a motorist did so unintentionally whey the need for this law?

Yes, it seems like it is possible to protest just fine on the sidewalk.

Can't have another Heather Heyer incident splashed all over the news showcasing a strong contrast between a young paralegal matching for civil rights vs a group of white nationalists with Nazi and KKK symbols.

I can't believe we went from a guilty verdict of a white nationalist plowing into a group of protesters killing one and injuring many to a law to protect drivers from all civil and criminal penalty, if they think they were in harm.

But seriously, why is there a need for such a law? Self-defense is already an accepted and valid legal defense. This is saying we don't even go there - no need for self-defense. You can simply shoot yourself out of potential harm's way without regard to anyone if you feel you are in danger. Too much blind protection and not enough judgment. As if it's designed to kill and harm protesters with legal immunity.
