i usually have at least $100. i had two instances yesterday where i confused the cashier with my cash transaction. at one place they didnt even have coins so i told them to keep the change and at another she got confused counting my change and asked me to double check. i was trying to not make her feel dumb so i said something to the effect of "yeah, i guess when youre handing out change all day the numbers become a blur" and she said "no, its just that nobody pays with cash anymore". haha.

im selling some music gear and someone tried to pay with venmo or paypal. i have paypal, but i said cash only and they seemed annoyed.

When I carried and paid with cash & coins, I would work up to get my change. It would blow their minds.

    Example:

    Total is 48.25

I only have three 20s, three 1s and a quarter. I give them all to the cashier

    -confused look-

Me: 'trust me, just put it in'

I get 15 back, cashier is amazed or at my 'math skills' or still just confused.

But with CC points, I use plastic 99.8% of the time. Pay the bill immediately, get 2-6% back depending on the card. It's an instant discount. When I used to dropship from Amazon I would make $50k in points a year, minimum. Points are considered a discount so it's not taxable. So if you're at a 30% tax bracket, you would have had to make $65k to pay that $50k. Instead I pocket it all.

Edit- if you pay with an AMEX blue, you get 6% off. Shop at Kroger during double points season you can get gas points to add that to the tally. At one point I bought Amazon GCs at Kroger, then got $1.00 off gas with the Kroger card. I then used the Kroger CC to pay for gas giving me an additional .25 off per gallon. I calculated I was making about 17% back that way.

    Leverage everything for profit.

i do the same thing with change. its a great way to get rid of pennies, nickles and dimes and get them quarters!

i usually use a credit card for the cash back, but my weed dealer is cash only and its also good to have when you go out with friends and have to split a tab.

plus, like i said, im selling a bunch of music gear right now so i have more cash than normal.

Roll it all back in to CC's and pay your dealer with Bitcoin. It's 2021.

    Months.

And then I am always finding singles either in my car or in drawer somewhere.

I forgot I had put 30 dollars in my wallet for about a month.

I literally have more Japanese yet in my wallet than USD and I haven't been to Japan recently. I also do not have a checkbook and have no clue how to write a check.

I get cash if I think I might be at an event where I need it (like for parking). But, half the time I don't really need it. I still have money in my wallet from 2 years ago.

100$ max cash at one time. Don't really need much more than that.

I would spend more than $1m a year on Amazon. The Amazon Visa is 5% back, no limit.

PM me if you want more details.
