Finally a game I can watch on TV with out having to stream from sportsurge. First game I've caught in a couple weeks as I've been too lazy to set up a stream. It was a good one. Glad to see the bats going and most of our stars back.
After getting a little more experimental in previous appearances Javier seemed to revert to relying almost exclusively on the 4S/slider combo. Imagine what he will look like if he can finally get comfortable with the curve and/or change.
I'm glad someone clarified that we sent Javier down to manipulate his service time... No way he shouldn't be out there every 5 days. Out of the big 3 youngsters Urquidy, Javier, and Framber, I like Framber the most, but Javier is developing into a fascinating and productive player. Every time he pitches I'm glued to the TV. That "rising" fastball/slider combo is filthy.
It would be interesting if Billy Beane went to player regulation just to see what would happen. It generally works in fantasy. Dump your shiot and replace with the hottest players as soon as possible, don't sit on it. Would be a curious experiment.
Well you are going to be really pissed. If he was down 2-3 more days the Astros would have gotten the extra year of service time. So that little stint at the alternative site did nothing.
Could we still get that extra year if they send him down for 2-3 more days, or would have have to stay down again another 2+weeks?
