Who worships him? Do those people worship him because he plays for their favorite team like any other professional athlete? Usually when some people worship somebody there is an equal amount that hate them, you know like Obama and Trump? Do you not understand how fame works?
let's see how the Onion handles the same topic this is the closest thing I could find . . . sorry! but it does have a Lakers reference at least @Mr.Scarface hmmm . . . going back a bit further in time, this does turn up, which if not funny certainly has the ring of truth about it. Good job Onion!!
According to @Tomstro , the person who has more posts per time statistic has less meaning in their lives. I'm sorry bud Just using his exact claim.
Because the same people who want to not merely criticize but come out with superlatives like "dumbest person on the planet" for having a take before researching the situation were completely silent when a figure with the largest bully pulpit on the planet did that exact same routinely in tweets and jingoist rallies that literally resulted in things like attempted pipe bomb assasinations. Which obviously means their hatred of Lebron isn't based on principle of not liking people who run their mouths before understanding the subject matter but rather cultural tribalism and therefore those people deserve no respect in the opinions they express.
Agreed, but some people's moronic rhetoric isn't judged the same as others. It isn't just you. It is a national issue
I might as well rename this thread "Bellyache about Lebron.." Another example about how shallow and celebrity obsessed our society is.
To be fair I believe the only people who are obsessed with Lebron here are the ones who hate him for reasons.
You can look all over social media. You yourself said he has reach, implying he has influence over people. Unless you mean reach in the literal sense he can grab stuff off the top shelf at the grocery store. I am jealous of that.
There's not much to debate about this shooting as it's pretty justified. The only ones who don't agree have an agenda, which LeBron is the most outspoken among that group and deserves criticism for his awful takes.
LeBron isn't a politician, yet... A celebrity while having a big following isn't someone that is in a position to change policy or have a responsibility to do so. Celebrities certainly can use their fame as a bully pulpit that only matters if people give them that power. What is ironic with all of the complaining about Lebron is that for so many people to post about, write about or comment in other ways in the media is making him far more important than he actually is. What I would care far more about is if Columbus, Ohio state government or the federal government looks at this situation to change use of force. So far I haven't heard anything regarding that but it wouldn't surprise me if we did hear an actual politician call for changes from this.
Sadly I've seen adults egg on children to bully and fight others. In my opinion any adult that does that and a child get's hurt they should be charged with child abuse.
Yes it's possible to subdue a knife without using lethal force but not something that can be easily done and not quickly. I'm absolutely certain if the LEO didn't have a firearm the other girl would be seriously wounded or worse.
I believe you have to repeat the violation. For example, the last president did this about 500 times before he was banned.
You're right Lebron not knowing the situation is not a big deal. However he has been on the forefont of talking about the issue so he should expect criticism. In police and use of force, I think the unjustified shootings are more about recruitment than training.
