What happened to keeping a close eye on KPJ to help him make good decisions? I'm a little annoyed at Brown and others for a) breaking the rules and going to a strip club knowing full well they'd get caught (you can't keep that ish off social media), and b) bringing KPJ along. We need to do everything we can foster a good environment around him and sneaking off to strip clubs the night before a game when the league prohibits any of those types of gatherings is not a good sign. I know players don't care about this season anymore, but they are professionals -- act like it. Rockets should suspend any player that went to the club.
There's no such thing as a 24 hrs babysitter. This is the NBA. you make your own decisions good or bad The only reason they got caught was because brown got beatdown. If it was just another night out, they went and left with 0 drama, nobody would give af. Random vids on Social media didn’t catch this. Brown being that hurt exposed it
He's no hero. These guys are on the lamb because no one snitched so they go out and slash another person. A hero seeks justice. Ends it. No more people get slashed. But that's not what happened and we all know it. It doesn't even add up. I mean what are the odds that not only do you get into the wrong car, but there are three people in it, and they assault you. Do people just sit around in their car like that. There are too many magic variables here. He can't remember anything because he was hit over the head, but apparently, he can remember getting into the wrong car. Ok now. Sorry. The math doesn't add up. Nothing about the story is even logical. Then you have KPJ saying he came in to save day, but he won't talk either. Yep. That's believable. 5 people, and no one is talking, cover up. As far as the Rockets, I don't care if they hit the clubs or not, as long as you play. But now they can't play. So see ya. Half of life is showing up. And both are out. Neither are worth the time and energy.
I feel like John Wall should have been able to get them into a better club than the hole in the wall the booby trap.
This gives me a lot of respect for James Harden. He can go his night thing and not get in trouble, most importantly still play at superstar level. Playoffs that is another thing. Much smarter than that guy from Clemson.
Not against the SPurs in game 6 - when he sucked in the playoffs after partying all night at a strip club in Houston. DD
Porter needs all the on court time he can get. The Rockets have been on record of talking about how they have put this support system in place to help him succeed, but he has to be responsible too. Shannon Brown was already out with a knee problem, but he was able to hobble his ass to the strip club.
Lol Keeping nba players from stripclubs is like keeping water out of the ocean The only thing they didn’t do right was getting into beef with random dudes you seriously went through the Harden Era and complain about going to stripclubs for the Rockets players? @Jontro
The rules didn’t prohibit them during Hardens tenure (until the end) because we weren’t in a global pandemic...
So harden isn’t hitting up the clubs ? Yeahhhh the big difference is getting into a fight in the parking lot That’s the only difference and it being news
You know you're right. Wood in particular seems to not "like" KPJ. Almost an insecure, jealous energy I get from him. Wall too at times. Seems a bit of vet hazing you think?
It would not surprise me at all if Brown IS covering for KPJ. Just saying. That to me is within the realm of possibilities here. It would at least explain all of the nonsense. KPJ got into something, Brown stepped in and took the brunt of it, and to save face both of them came up with the lie.
