How about an outfield of Alvarez in left, Straw in CF, and Brantley in a mostly unfamiliar right field. Plus/Minus on runs given up on their defense versus runs provided by the trio on offense?
While I won’t ever completely rule out Alvarez playing the field (especially in the World Series), they’re not going to throw him out there a.) in April just removed from bilateral knee surgeries, b.) in Coors field, the biggest OF in all of baseball and c.) coming off a COVID protocol absence that nobody really knows the extent of what was involved since MLB keeps this stuff unnecessarily tight-lipped. He will get to PH. Probably in a key spot.
I’d prefer to see Carlitos in the lead off spot, especially in Colorado. Get Straw out of there, Dusty!
