You know, having a day to celebrate some sort of good thing always seems counterintuitive to me. If you want to get baked, do it whenever you want, don't wait to a certain day. If you want a BJ, it shouldn't be on a special day every year. Celebrate life, have fun, don't bother me with special days.

    Srsly Texas...get with the program.

I work for a small city outside of Portland (Oregon) and I'm quite close to their business license department. For a (relatively) small dispensary, it's not uncommon for the quarterly revenue to be in the arena of $500,000. This is a small, single-outlet, minimum advertising type "home-grown" business. For these guys to apply for a business license, it costs them around $6000 (average commercial business license for us is $80). These guys cannot get the check written fast enough...and are always happy to work with the City to provide documentation and are very cooperative on any inspections. Sorta crazy to think these guys are some of our model business who, interestingly, follow the rules pretty well. And why wouldn't they...they are practically printing money at these "joints"...so Texas, why haven't you enacted legal MJ yet? Same with casinos. You are losing so much money...it's insane to think how much Texas money is flowing across the border into Louisiana. Don't let the same thing happen with mar1juana.

Not a big user...but I do enjoy it from time to time.

Having recently driven in and out of LA, there's no way I want gambling in TX, at least at the level they're at. Every gas station is a casino now. It's a ****ing rancid armpit. I could live with 'riverboats' although it would bring a seedy element into our waterfronts unless someone (Tilman) had a tight grip on crime.

    However, Legalizing is a no-brainer.

I was talking to my cousin in Colorado yesterday actually. So many dispensaries. I didn’t realize that you can’t deposit business income at most banks and have to bank at regional credit unions.
Supposedly about to change but I would be worried about having big bags of cash to deposit.

I think most of us operate like that. I don't wait for 4th of July to shoot fireworks at people's faces.
