Yes, that team had everything. But I wouldn’t negate this team more simply because they aren’t the 2019 team. There are also several potential pieces on the current team that could make the overall staff just as formidable in terms of overall end results.

Who's negating? It was a simple explanation of how "stacked" and dominant that 2019 team was.

    Agreed,

Lets get the pitching staff back healthy and the bullpen will be much improved with Stanek/Javier/Pressly in the 7th, 8th, 9th. I'm also hoping Solomon comes up and claims a spot in the bullpen.

Because you’re too good at your job in terms of having replacement players ready to go.

That is the purpose of having a taxi squad... to avoid having to postpone series. It’s likely harder to incorporate new guys on the road, as opposed to home.

While this team likely won’t win 107 games, it still stacks up very well with other Astros teams over all eras (on paper... presuming no more COVID bullshit)

20+ pitches in the 1st inning for Odorizzi?

    Against Seattle?

    Not a good look

HPU with a pretty dubious strike zone early.

That run is on the home plate umpire.

The hobbits are in the lead. But this is gonna be like the ending to the Lord of the Rings movie, it's not over until it's over, and then it's still not over.

Nice piece of hitting by White but a terrible read by Straw off the bat. And should have been out of the inning anyway, the BB to Marmolejos was crap.

No Springer is a huge void for this squad it seems.

In the outfield, in the lineup and in the dugout cheerleading section.

Odorizzi not impressive so far. Possibly have to burn Garcia today.

I think Springer dives for that ball too.

Any potential SP prospects in AAA right now?

Have the Astros obtained another year of service over Javier or do we need to wait a few more days?
